That's why I didn't bring Charlie to the swimming hole. I figured the Zelfs could pretty much recover from a dunking. Dropping an AG doll in the water is no picnic. :}

We do start super early. When Hubby and I were going to the same school, we started a week later. It's a little tough starting so early because it really cuts into the summer. Then again, by the end of the summer I'm usually pretty ready for school to begin again, and the girls are eager to see their friends again (just not eager about the schoolwork), so it all works out. :)Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15635091328769986946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646962372158228871.post-42581764986012571932014-08-19T17:48:00.612-07:002014-08-19T17:48:00.612-07:00I love all the Mermalade pictures especially :) I...I love all the Mermalade pictures especially :) I actually don't like a lot of the Zelfs in person for some reason (Mermalade is an exception), but ALL the Zelfs look so cute in your pictures:)Mantahttp://thedolldwelling.boardhost.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646962372158228871.post-85281540089049542512014-08-19T08:32:06.307-07:002014-08-19T08:32:06.307-07:00I've never been to California, but when I thin...I've never been to California, but when I think of that state, the sprawling urban centers like San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno, etc. are what immediately spring to my mind, so, it's good to be reminded that there are also many beautiful natural spots like this in the state as well. Gorgeous photography!

I don't know how to swim, so I'd get nervous taking photos of toys near a body of water like you did, because if they happened to tumble into a deep area, I'd have a heck of a time trying to recover them (I'd end up having to be saved like your youngest daughter, lol).

And, boy, you sure start school early in your neck of the woods; the school children don't go back until the day after Labor Day here in Michigan where I live, although the universities do start a little bit earlier than that.Mark Patrawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07543430490598733014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646962372158228871.post-31328230556203669592014-08-19T07:13:59.786-07:002014-08-19T07:13:59.786-07:00Wow, that swimming hole looks magical and I love h...Wow, that swimming hole looks magical and I love how crystal clear the water looks flowing over the stones and pebbles along the floor of the creek. There is just something about creeks in the woods that are so lovely...was the water cold?? Your pictures have made me want to grab my dolls and camera and haul them outside for some woodland photo fun. :D

By the way, where did you get Charlie's boots? I've been looking for some nice AG-sized cowgirl boots but have been unable to find any.

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous photos!

--Kate :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646962372158228871.post-41293077555848015732014-08-17T02:08:26.256-07:002014-08-17T02:08:26.256-07:00What a lovely trip! Hubby keeps telling me he wants to visit a place "with tall woods and scenery like in the first Rambo movie". As far as I know, parts of New England and Canada fit that description, but I'd like to have options :)BlackKittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14014093330317682849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646962372158228871.post-80332951138047042482014-08-16T20:01:46.358-07:002014-08-16T20:01:46.358-07:00Lol, never say never, Anonymous!
