It was sooooo good! I did not see that plot twist near the end, though! And I just LOVED Pascal! As a Disney Princess enthusiast, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. :)

It's really a shame about "The Princess and the Frog", because there were some things I really enjoyed about it. It was so nice to see a return to beautiful hand drawn animation similar to the movies we grew up on. The music was fun, too. And even the bad guy himself was a great Disney villain...just the voodoo stuff he got into was a little much, especially since voodoo is something people get really get involved in (it's not just fairytale magic). Quite honestly, the main problem I had with it was that it was geared towards kids. As an adult, I took it as a good reminder to not get tangled up in stuff way over your head. There are true demonic forces in this world. Dr. Facilier got in over his head and it led to his demise. It's a good lesson and reminder for we adults...just not something I figure my 2 year old needs to learn about. :} The other thing I appreciated about this movie is that it had a message similar to "Beauty and the Beast" about looking past appearances (the romantic couple spend most of the movie as frogs). It could have been a wonderful movie if they just would have toned down the scariness factor.Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15635091328769986946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7646962372158228871.post-37976768824734342342010-11-27T19:02:22.932-08:002010-11-27T19:02:22.932-08:00Oh, it sounds wonderful and now I want even more t...Oh, it sounds wonderful and now I want even more to watch it!!!!! I won't be able to see it until it comes out on DVD though. :-/
I just listened to the 30-second music clips on the Tangled web page a while ago and the music sounds lovely. And what I'm hearing about the end of the film, it sounds like it must be amazing!
First chance I get, I'm watching it! :-)

P.S. Thanks for the warning about "The Princess and the Frog". I haven't seen it, and I don't think I want to after your review! It doesn't sound very Disney Princess-ly... :-/Elinor Dashwood/Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01233456173816940821noreply@blogger.com
