Rearranging My Doll Rooms :)

As promised, here are pics of my newly rearranged doll rooms. :)  After some of the fun doll-sized things I got for Christmas and from the thrift store, I decided I wanted to change things around a bit. :)

Here's an overview of Emma, Hayden, and Charlie's new room.  I'm really happy with how it turned out, although I wish their bunk bed would fit coming straight out from the wall. :}  It works, though.

Here's one side of the room.  You might have noticed that the shelf in the left hand corner is the one I found at Salvation Army.

Here's the other side. :)

I figured you'd enjoy seeing every little inch of the rooms, so I took a bunch of close-up pictures, too. :)

Here's the top of the new shelf.  (I rearranged things slightly after I took the first pictures of the room, and I ended up using pictures from both photo sessions, so you'll see a few differences on the tops of the shelves.  This is how it looks now, though.)  I have all of their doll-sized books up here, and I have a toddler Belle doll and a Disney Princess tin serving as bookends.

The top shelf is Emma's shelf.  It has Emma's new Christmas Belle doll, a Disney Princess tin purse, some Beauty and the Beast Squinkies, a jewelry box and elephant made in India, a tiny plastic Pascal, a picture of Emma, and her Bollywood Stars playing cards. :)

The middle shelf belongs to Hayden.  It has her Disney Princess gift box, her Breyer horse collection, her toy Abu, a horse Squinkie, her Strawberry Shortcake figures, and her jewelry box.

The bottom shelf is Charlie's, and holds most of her Disney Pixar collection.

Next to the shelf is this set of little toy bins.  Each one is full of the girls' extra toys.

Next to the shelf is Hayden's cozy bed,  At the head of the bed are her Felicity doll, Chester the horse, and a stuffed Ariel doll.

Here's a view of the shelf set in the middle of their room.  This is one of the first pictures I took, so it has the old set up on top.

This is what the top of the shelf looks like now.  The picture frames are all from thrift stores.  I printed some of my doll photos out in wallet sizes on Costco.com, and then they were the perfect size for the frames. :)

This floral arrangement was a Dollar Tree special. :)  The white bucket was from the bridal section and came in a set of four.  The flowers were all part of one sprig (for one dollar).  I simply took them off of the stem and put them in the bucket.  Pretty good for two bucks, eh? ;)

Here's a close up of the "closet" door, which has two mini bulletin boards, Emma's "Tangled" poster and stickers, Emma's "Emma" poster, and a picture of Emma and Tess.  It also has Hayden's Disney Princess purse hanging from the door.

The top shelf of this unit has all of the girls' art supplies.  There are blank notebooks, some sketchpads, tiny paint sets (from Walmart), a mini tape dispenser, and pencils and erasers.  The pencil tin is an "Altoids Smalls" tin.  I thought it made a perfect art supply box. :)

The bottom shelf has all of their games and puzzles.  Most of these were Walmart or Dollar Tree finds.

Here's Emma's top bunk, including her Ruthie doll, Shahrukh bear, Coca-Cola bear, and her Rapunzel doll.

Here's Charlie's bottom bunk.  She has Kit and Buzz on her bed, along with her giant stuffed Dug and Sulley, and her new Christmas monkey.

I had just enough room behind the bed for a little nightstand.  Here Charlie has her cloth Woody doll, her mini Buzz, her Cars Squinkies, her new Buzz and Woody tin from Michael's, and a photo of her and Hailey.

I've had this little foam puzzle from Dollar Tree in my gift drawer for a while, and the other day I realized it would be perfect beside Charlie's bed. :)

Here's Tess and Hailey's new room.  I like how this room turned out even better than the Hathaway girls' room! :)

Here's Hailey's bed, with her Rebecca doll and stuffed Hello Kitty at the head.

I love Hailey's Hello Kitty shelf because there's just so much to look at!  She has a Hello Kitty calendar, clock, and gumball machine, Hello Kitty Squinkies, Rapunzel and Flynn dolls, tons of books and scrapbooks, scrapbooking supplies, and even a doll-sized stapler, tape dispenser and hole puncher...all with Hello Kitty on them!

It was fun to finally be able to hang up her posters, too.

Here are Hailey's stuffed animals, and her Littlest Pet Shop chameleon.

Here's Tess's bed, complete with her Samantha doll and Miss AG Bear.  Marisol's kitty is also napping at the foot of the bed. ;)

I had a lot of fun arranging the top of Tess's curio cabinet.  She loves old-fashioned and fancy things, as you can probably tell from the picture.

Here's a view of the inside of her curio with all of her figurines inside.

Tess enjoyed having a spot to hang up her Pride and Prejudice posters and her mini poster from Ladies' Retreat.

Here are some pictures and things that didn't fit anywhere else!

Finally, here's Rachel and Maggie's room.  Poor girls...nothing much has changed in here.

The only differences are there are less books...

...and I put up a framed photo of Maggie's winning AG Playthings photo. :)

And here are the other gals on top of the shelf.  I took this picture before Britt arrived.  Right now, she's standing next to Katelyn. :)

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the changes I've made.  I had so much fun putting everything together! :)

Clip from the New Tangled Short! :D

Okay, I wasn't really planning on posting 3 times today, but I just got a tip from one of my readers (Thanks, Shawna!) :) that there was a clip on YouTube from the new Tangled short film!  The best part is, it's on the Disney Movie Trailers Channel, so it's not pirated!   Click HERE to see this fun clip. :)  There are also a few trailers for Beauty and the Beast in 3-D.

I can't wait until next week!

Thrift Store Haul

Okay, I shared my after Christmas sale haul...now I want to share my Thrift Store finds. :)

I found this great doll-sized cooking pan at Salvation Army.

I think originally it may have been a measuring cup of sorts.

I've been needing some new doll-sized picture frames, and thankfully they had several there.

I got all of these for just $1.75. :)

I also found this cute mini photo album for 50 cents.

It has open sleeves on the pages so you can just slide the photos in.

And finally, my favorite find of the day:  this adorable doll-sized shelf!  It was 25% off, so it only cost me about $6.  It was in excellent shape, too, and was very well made.

The drawers are a little bit big scale-wise, so I decided to use them to store doll items in one of my dressers and just use the shelf like this.  I already have it set up in Emma, Hayden, Charlie's room and it looks ADORABLE!!  I hope to have a post up with my newly rearranged doll rooms early next week. :)

After Christmas Sale Haul

We've had some pretty good local after Christmas sales.  I thought I'd share a few of my doll-sized goodies that I've discovered this past week. :)

First up, we have a doll-sized "Sing-a-Ma-Jig".  I'm sure you've seen these things around.  They're those annoying singing socks with a cloth hair tie for a mouth.  I'm not a huge fan, basically because I'm a mom of 3 kids and pretty much avoid most toys that make any sort of repetitive noise! ;)  But when I saw this guy at Walmart for $2.50 and saw that he was perfectly doll-sized, I couldn't resist.  Besides, he'll be in MY doll room, which means he won't be singing every 5 seconds! :)

He was actually a key chain, but I just cut off the ribbon that held the plastic key chain part in place.

After I took this picture, I re-trimmed the ribbon. ;)

I took this pic so you could see his scale with the dolls.

I just realized that while I did some shopping in other stores, everything I'm sharing with you today happened to come from Walmart. :}  Next up, we have a bunch of things from the Friends Boutique line.

Here's a shot of all the goodies. :)

First up, we have the "Giddy-Up Boots", the pink Garden Shoes, and the Shoe Carousel with three pairs of shoes.

Now, this Shoe Carousel is not really my style or color, and it's pretty cheaply made.  But I got it for $6 with three pairs of shoes.  At that price, I figured it was worth trying.  And I could see my girls thinking the Carousel was pretty. :)

These are the Friends Boutique "Giddy-Up Boots".  They were on sale for $2.50, and they looked really cute, so I figured I'd try them.

Unfortunately, while they look absolutely adorable on, they are almost impossible to get off.  I'm talking impossible for an adult to get off!  There's no way my girls would be able to get these boots off unassisted.  And because they're covered with a suede-like material, some of the material rubbed off where I was holding them.  After a week of play, these would have rub marks all over them.  I'm actually planning on returning them.  It's really a shame, because they look so cute!

Here are the pink Garden Shoes.  They were also on sale for $2.50.  I knew that these ones would be okay because I already had a pair from last year's Christmas sale.  Since these shoes went on to Piper, I figured I'd get myself another pair. :)

Here's a closer look.  They look like they might be slightly larger than AG shoes, but they still look nice.

These next three pairs of shoes are the ones that came with the $6 Shoe Carousel.  This is the lavender version of the Garden Shoes.

Cute! :)  More importantly, they're very easy to get on and off.

Next we have this neon pink pair of sneakers.  I know they're cheap and plastic looking, but I still think they're cute.

These were also very easy to get on and off.

Now these ones were a little bit over the top for me.

My girls will still like them, though. :)

The Friends Boutique bean bag chairs were also on sale for $2.50.  I don't think I'd spend much more than that on them, but they're a cute option for a doll room with the need for some extra seating. ;)

Here's a side view. They work pretty well for AG dolls.  I'm not sure how well they'd actually work for the Friends Boutique dolls they're made for, as those dolls aren't the greatest at sitting up.

While I was at Wally World, I noticed that the Hiccup play set that Maggie's been wanting for a while was on sale for $5, so I picked up one of those, too.

As you can see, Maggie was very excited to get it.  "How to Train Your Dragon" is one of her very favorite movies.  She already had Toothless, so she's thrilled to have Hiccup too, as well as an extra dragon friend. :)

The other thing I picked up was a toddler Cinderella nightgown for $5.  I remembered that these clothes fit the BFC Ink dolls, and thought that it might make a nice nightgown for Katelyn.

I forgot to take a picture while it was still in the box! :}

Here's everything included in the set:  the nightgown, a brush, and a pair of slippers.

This tag is certainly a bit of overkill!

The slippers did not fit Katelyn, which I was expecting.

The nightgown did fit, however.

Close-up of the glass slipper detail.  While this nightgown looks nice, it's made of pretty cheap material.  I don't think I'd pay much more than $5 for it.

Even though the nightgown technically fit Katelyn, I decided it looked a little young, so I passed it on to my oldest daughter's toddler Rapunzel doll.

The slippers fit Rapunzel perfectly, but they do NOT stay on at all!!  And she's the type of doll they were made for!  I guarantee that any kiddo who receives one of these sets will lose the slippers by the first day!

Rapunzel is very happy with her cozy new nightgown. :)

After Christmas sales are a great place to keep your eye out for all sorts of doll clothes, toys, and accessories. :)  What was your best sale find this year?
