Update on Comments

Hi everyone!  I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know about some changes to my blog comments.  I had a reader interested in leaving comments who was unable to comment because of the format I had chosen.  As a result, I decided to change my comments to allow anyone to comment.  Because of this decision, though, I've decided to put comment moderation on for a while.  Since anyone who passes by can comment now, I want to make sure I can moderate the types of comments that come in, just in case.  If there are no problems with inappropriate comments, then after a while I'll take comment moderation off again.

I just wanted to let all of you know so you wouldn't worry if your comment didn't come up right away. :)  Have a great week!

Good grief, I think that's the most times I've ever used the words "comment" or "comments" in a post. :}

  1. Hi Beast'sBelle! I had a question about your doll Tess. Where did you find her? Where do you think I could get one? I saw one at a garage sale once but I didn't exactly know what type of doll they were at the time and now I'm angry I didn't buy her :) . I've started looking into them and I'm thinking of looking for one.

  3. Hi Hunter, hi Ashlyn. Thanks for commenting! :)

    Hunter, I found my Tess on Craigslist from a doll collector who was getting rid of her collection. She was only $25 and in perfect condition!! I think that was my lifetime steal. ;)

    If you're looking for a Tess of your own, the best advice I can give you is to be patient. :} Craigslist.org, bonanza.com, and eBay are all great places to check. On eBay, Gotz dolls tend to go for a lot (they can sell for as much as $100 each in used condition). Yard sales and thrift stores are another great place to check. Just keep your eyes open and don't give up. :)

    Ashlyn, I'm glad you can comment now, too. :) I'm hoping my comment change will give many more of my readers a chance to participate in the conversation. :)

  7. Hmm, this got me thinking...I should probably change my blog into the mode where anyone can comment, except I'll have to approve the comments - that way I'm sure I'll be able to hear from people who couldn't comment before. :}

    Your birthday is coming up in the next week or so, right? I think it is (if I'm correct; my memory has been a little off today). If so, happy early birthday! :)

  8. Hi Claire! :) It might not be a bad idea. I've gotten several comments today from readers I've never heard from before. :)

    By the way, great memory! My birthday is actually tomorrow...so I only have a few hours left of being 29. :} I'm flattered that you remembered. :)
