18" Doll Swimsuits from EBay Seller mikyle207 :)

My mom discovered another great eBay seller who makes adorable swimsuits for 18" dolls.  I fell in love with the swimsuits she bought, so I purchased a couple for myself. :)  The seller's name is mikyle207.  You can view her items for sale HERE.  She has many other adorable bathing suits available for very reasonable prices.

I'd never really considered getting bathing suits for my dolls before this, partially because they can't be submerged in water, and partially because most of the doll swimsuits I've seen are not very modest.  I was very pleased to see how cute and modest these ones were, though, and I figured I could use them for some summertime photo shoots, even if the dolls can't actually go swimming. ;)

Here are Hayden and Emma, modeling their new suits.

I love the pink polka dots on this suit.  It looks great with Hayden's coloring, too. :)

Front view (sorry for the faded colors...I'm still trying to figure out how to fix that on my camera; the coloring is like the colors in the first 2 pictures).

Hayden's shoes are the garden shoes from the Friends Boutique doll line at Walmart.

Beautiful Hayden!

Here's Emma's suit.  This one makes me think of taking a Hawaiian vacation! :)  I bet Kanani would love this.

I love the fact that both suits are made with actual swimsuit material.  While Hayden's is smooth, Emma's has ribbing in the material.

Emma's shoes are from one of the Madame Alexander Friends 4 Life clothing sets from 2009.

Lovely Emma!

I would highly recommend these swimsuits, especially at such an excellent, reasonable price.  Be sure to follow the link above and see her other items.  There are many different colors and designs to choose from.

  2. You could use them as leotards! Ever since McKenna came out leotards and gymnastics for dolls have been very "in." ;) I'll have to look into getting one for McKenna to use when she comes, and before then, Emily can borrow it. :) I love the way the blue suit looks on Emma, green is best on her but she look gorgeous in blue, too! :D

  3. Oh, I recently found some tips for making your doll look like she's in water, and all of them are a little risky, except for one. That one was to (sorry if this is vague) put your doll in a big bowl and stretch plastic wrap tightly over the one side of the bowl, rotate the bowl, and keep doing it until there is "water" all around your doll. I hope this helps, but it might not, I'm not talented at descriptions. ;)

  4. Wow! Super cute. And I love Emma's Team Knightley necklace! Too funny. I was wondering where you got it. I love "Emma" along with all the other Austen movies. :D

Congrats on the cute new outfits!

  6. Thanks for all the comments, everyone. :)

Great idea, Mary! These would make great leotards. I like your idea about the water, too. I'll have to try it sometime. ;)

Hi Emma! I got the "Team Knightley" necklace from etsy.com. The seller's name is Paisley Monday. Here's a link to her Etsy shop (you can copy and paste it): http://www.etsy.com/shop/PaisleyMonday

She has lots of other fun designs, as well. :)

  7. That's so cute! I agree that AG hasn't been exactly giving out the most covered suits. Honestly a 11-12 year old should not be wearing a bikini! Kinda frustrates me.

I love Emma's! I may just go for it. ;) Lovvbug also makes cool ones too! I found one of theirs and found out I had the same one! :)
