Activity 2 Photos Up on The Doll Wardrobe! :)

Arrgghh!!  I am in the middle of TRYING to post one of my review posts for you guys, but Blogger is being INCREDIBLY slow right now.  It's taking about 10 minutes to upload one picture!!  Really, Blogger?

So, while I was waiting and waiting for my pics to upload, I checked my dashboard and noticed that the Doll Wardrobe had put up the Activity 2 Photos for voting! Yay!! :)

I've gotta say, I was lacking any sort of creative inspiration on this round, so my picture is quite boring compared to some of the others.  But considering I had one of the worst colds I've had in a really long time, I'm just thankful I got something entered. ;)  My photo, such as it is, is number 47.  I would show it to you in this post if my computer weren't acting up right now (I may add it later).   My mom participated again this time as well and did a great job.  Her photo is number 38.  I love all the detail she put into it...good job, Mom!! :D

There are a lot of great entries again this time around!  I loved seeing all of the different holidays people chose to portray.  Hats off to everyone! :)  You can click HERE to see them all and cast your vote! :)  Voting ends on February 19th.

Now I've got to get going on my Activity 3 Photo!!  I hope I can be a little more creative this time around. :}

  1. I think your pic is the cutest of the lot, including mine! Mine wasn't as good as I'd hoped, it was #56 with Emily and the valentine costume. Oh well, I have a pretty awesome and cute idea for the next round. I'm hoping to win Lanie, but since I don't have the amazing cameras other people have, I have to go with creativity. :)

  2. Your idea was so clever, Mary! I liked your photo. :) How fun to combine 2 different holidays into one. ;) I hope you get your Lanie!

    My oldest really wants a McKenna, which was one of the reasons I decided to enter (besides the fun of the activity!). Of course, $20 towards a purchase at AG would be pretty nice, too. :) I don't have high hopes for myself for this round, but I don't mind. I can't wait to see who wins this round! I wouldn't want to be Penny and have to choose from so many great entries! :)

  3. I've got to admit, yours was so much better than mine (mine was #10) - I liked the idea of Charlie hiding the chocolates behind her back so Hayden wouldn't see them until she was supposed to. :)

  4. Well, I DO really want McKenna, in fact, I'm saving up for her, but I also want the excuse to go to the American Girl Place. I've never been to one and I would really like to get her there. So I think if I win I'll get Lanie and rename her Holly, like I mentioned before. I think you have a great chance, yours was SO cute!! :D

  5. Hi Claire! I'm glad you told me which one was yours...I was wondering. Yours is really cute!

    I think this was a really tough round. I found it difficult to get the kind of detail I wanted in the picture while still having a nice-quality picture. In the end, I went for quality rather than detail. ;)

    That makes sense, Mary. :) I hope you get to go to the American Girl Place! The nearest one to me is about 8 hours away, so I don't see myself getting there anytime soon. :} I also can't afford a brand new doll for my daughter at this point in time, and obviously McKenna is going to be hard to find on the secondary market for less before April (my daughter's 8th birthday). I have a backup plan which will be satisfactory...McKenna would just be a really neat surprise. :)

    Thanks for the complement, too...I was really disappointed with mine because I had such grand ideas for this round that didn't work out. I'm glad you liked it, though. :)

  7. Thanks, I hope so too! ;) AG is opening a store in St. Louis, and I don't live in Missouri but almost all of my aunts and uncles do, so we visit about twice a year, so I'm hoping sometime we can make a little detour from our usual route. :)

    Also, I just watched 1995 Pride and Prejudice and got reminded of how perfect in every way it is. :)

  8. That would be really fun. :) I'm sure you'll be able to work it out.

    I wholeheartedly agree about Pride and Prejudice! I LOVE that movie, and the newer version just doesn't hold a candle to it, in my humble opinion. ;)
