A Quick Hello and EBay Auctions

Hi everyone!  I hope you're all having a wonderful 2013. :)  I just wanted to say "hi" and give you a few little updates.

Today I finally got a chance to start my eBay listings.  This week has been one of those non-stop ones where I've had somewhere to be every day. :}  I'll be working on listing everything over the next few days, so keep checking back for new listings.  HERE'S what I have so far, though.

And yes, I am selling a Pullip doll outfit.  I wanted to mention that specifically because I wanted to let those of you who are Pullip fans know about the amazing deal I found.  My Tuesday Morning is currently carrying the Pullip/Dal/Taeyang Peter Pan series of dolls for $39.99 each!!  My store had Tinkerbell (a Dal), Captain Hook (a Taeyang), and Peter Pan (a Pullip...yes...a female one).  After doing some research online, I found out that there was also a Tiger Lily that was a Byul doll.

I've been researching a bit about Pullip dolls for a while and thought that they might be a nice doll line to try in the distant future (since they were way out of my price range).  Meanwhile, I got a couple of gift cards for Christmas, and when I wandered into Tuesday Morning, I knew what I would spend them on! ;)  So I now have a Pullip doll.  I'll be sharing a review of her once I'm "officially" back, but I thought I'd share one piccy with you now to tide you over:

Isn't she adorable?! :D (The Mattel Rapunzel dress was the only one I had on hand that fit okay.)

Anyway, I wanted to be sure I mentioned this since I know there are a lot of Pullip fans out there.  Paying $39.99 for one instead of $119.99 is much nicer, don't you think? ;)  Of course, not every Tuesday Morning has the same things in stock, but my hope is that at least a few of you have these in your stores too.

Talk to all of you again in a week or so...I'm brainstorming and planning like crazy for my new, improved site! :)

  1. Can't wait to see your improved blog, although I loved it how it was! I'm also so glad to see you fixed the "Beauty and the Beast" link on your menu. I could never get it to come up!

  2. wow! your so lucky to have been able to get a Pullip doll. i'd love to have one! and at the price that you paid! my gosh, that's a really good price for a Pullip since they're so expensive otherwise.

  3. Thanks, Anonymous. Don't worry, it will pretty much feel like the same place, so hopefully you'll still enjoy the improvements. ;)

    I'm so sorry about the Beauty and the Beast link...I think I was working on it one day and forgot to put it back up! :}

Thanks, Amber. I was so glad I had some Christmas gift cards...it would have been really hard to pass her up at that price!! ;)

  5. OH that's amazing! I wish our local Tuesday Morning hadn't closed. She's just so pretty! :D
(Oh, and the Tiger Lily is actually a Byul which has a Dal body but a different face plate. :3)

  6. Ooh, thanks for the correction, Phoebe...I'm still a newbie with these dolls. :} I'll fix it in the post.

I was practically hyperventilating in the store...I couldn't believe the price! :D

  7. Congrats! That is an awesome deal! She is one of my favorites. I may check our store out soon. I won't be too surprised if they do not have them, but it will be fun to look anyway. It's not like I "need" another doll anyway! LOL!

    Take care!

  8. OOOOH! I may have let out a little gasp when I saw the picture! Congrats on scoring that cutie - she has a lovely face, and looks so cute in the Rapunzel dress.

And a huge THANK YOU for the heads-up on Tuesday Morning - I know where I'm going on lunch break tomorrow! :D

  9. Hi Bama! Glad to hear from you. I hope they still have some at your local store. :) I've been curious to go back to mine and see if there are any left...I'm sure they flew off the shelves!!

Thanks, Jen. :) I must confess, you were one of the ones I was thinking of when I posted this...I've admired your Pullips and some of the others I've seen online. :) I hope your Tuesday Morning has some, too. Maybe your Rapunzel needs a hunky Taeyang in a Captain Hook outfit! ;)

  10. WHAT?! 119.99 for the direct price? That's even more than AG! <:0

  11. Yup...which is why I wasn't planning on owning one for a long time...if ever. ;)

  12. Oh no! I went to your ebay link and realized you're selling Isabella, Marguerite, and Raoul! That's so sad since they've become part of the cast of characters for Belle's Bulletins.
But I do understand your reasons for selling some of your collection. And I'm sure it must be even harder for you to part with them since you've developed their personalities and such!

  13. Hi Anonymous. It was definitely a tough decision, but I decided that I'd rather start weeding out some of my secondary Belle's Bulletins characters than my 18" ones, at least for now. :( Don't worry: Belle, Robby, Rapunzel, Eugene, Ben, and most of the Disney Store dolls will be staying. :)

  14. I found one of the Peter Pan Pullips today! She was the very last one left at my store, and it looked like something heavy had fallen on her box - it was crushed and the plastic window broken right through! Her nose and eye mechanism were damaged - I've spent the evening repairing her eyes, and I think some super-fine sandpaper will help her nose. So THANK YOU so much for the tip! Despite the damage, she's adorable, and I can't wait to see her all fixed up! :D

  15. Oh! There's a Tuesday Morning opened up near where I am. I need to go and look! Thank you!

  16. Oh, I'm so glad you found one, Jen! I hope you can get her all fixed up, and I'm glad I could help you find her. :)

By the way, I'm thinking of eventually rewigging mine. Do you have a place or supplier you recommend for Pullip wigs? I'm a little nervous about rewigging, because I want to make sure I find a wig that still allows me to work her eye mechanism. Thanks in advance! :)

You're welcome, Rhissanna...I hope your Tuesday Morning carries them too. :)

  17. I was in a part of town with another TM store, and found the whole line of dolls! I ended up buying a Taeyang to customize - I'm going to be busy for a while!:D

As for wigs, my favorite Pullip wig thus far has come from the Monique Gold Label collection. The wig cap is very stretchy, goes on easily, and stays on. It does cover the eye mech - I normally manipulate the knobs through the wig. (I also haven't glued down my wigs, so Rapunzel can swap hair at my whim.) The only other wig I've bought is a DollZone BJD wig from DollMarket. It's beautiful and thick, but isn't as stretchy and is more inclined to fall off. (Also, DollMarket's "Special Order" merch can take months to arrive!)

I hope my small novel up there helps, and that you're enjoying your new beauty!

  18. Thanks for the info, Jen. I'll be sure to keep it in mind when I'm ready to rewig. At this point, I'll just have my girl keep her original hair. She looks really cute, and I'm not ready to take on another customization at this point. :) It's nice to hear from someone who's done it before, though.

I'm so glad you got one of the Taeyangs! I have to admit, if I was in a position to spend a little more, I probably would have snagged one myself, just because he was such a good price and then my Pullip wouldn't be lonely. ;) It was interesting, though...I was doing a little research, and it looks like the back of his head (where his ears are) is painted a different color than his face. I'd be interested to hear if your Taeyang is the same way, and if so, what you plan on doing to get his skin tone even (I suppose you could just find him a long enough wig to cover that part of his head).

Okay, and now I've written a small novel of my own! ;) Hope you have a nice weekend!

  20. Hi! I like your blog. You have so many doll reviews. Your pullip doll is so adorable. Which character is she?

  21. Thanks, Anonymous. :) Glad you stopped by.

My Pullip is the Peter Pan character from the Peter Pan series. I think she's adorable too. ;)
