First, a bit of melancholy:
"Doomsday", quite possibly one of the saddest things I've ever watched. :( I cried so hard when I watched this episode!
Rose looks so pretty in this shot.
The look on Ten's face is so heartbreaking during this part.
Sigh...just so sad. :(
This is one of those scenes I was talking about in my first post where the acting is so real you have to remind yourself that it's just a TV show. Billie and David's performances were just amazing.
A few pics from "Journey's End". I have such mixed feelings about this episode. I'm still not sure how I feel about Rose getting the "consolation prize". Wouldn't you always be thinking about the "real" Doctor in the back of your mind? At least this was a realistic option for her, though...and at least they had the same memories and thoughts...
A happy-ish ending :}
This scene from "The End of Time" kills me...every single time.
And now for some sad Eleven/Amy/Rory moments from "The Angels Take Manhattan"...
The Doctor's face in this scene... :(
"Raggedy Man, Goodbye!" Another scene that made me cry. :(
Reading Amy's message...
And now, just so you don't spend the rest of your day huddled in a fetal position with your Kleenex, here are some Doctor Who-related laughs. (This part of the post is sponsored by Pinterest.) ;) I wasn't sure about the legality of copying and pasting from Pinterest, so I included links to the pins underneath each one.

I thought it would be fun to share a few videos, too.
I found this wonderful overview of Ten's Greatest Moments HERE.
Alexandra from Of Trims and Furls and Furbelows has made several beautiful tribute videos to Rose and Ten on her YouTube channel. I thought I'd share a couple of my favorites with you. Interestingly enough, both of these videos features songs that I love from stories that I do NOT like. ;) I think the songs are much better when applied to Rose and Ten. :)
The first video is HERE and features the song "Till I Hear You Sing" from "Love Never Dies".
The next video, HERE, uses the deleted song "If I Never Knew You" from Disney's Pocahontas.
Now, if you'd like to see some incredible but sad acting, HERE is the ending scene from Doomsday, in which Rose and the Tenth Doctor say goodbye.
I couldn't find any videos from "The Angels Take Manhattan" that weren't fan videos, but I did find a couple of the soundtracks from the episode. HERE is "Together or Not at All"...
...and HERE is "Amelia's Last Farewell".
The beautiful music in this series adds so much to the show. It's so lovely and heartfelt.
And once again, here are some funnies to help you recover from the sad ones. ;)
Unicorn and Wasp Detox HERE, a hilarious scene between Donna and Ten. I have to admit, though, the thought of kissing anyone with a mouthful of anchovies grosses me out, even if it's David Tennant. ;)
David Tennant's Deleted Scene from "Human Nature" HERE. I've heard that this scene was completely ad libbed, which if so just confirms the fact that he is an AMAZING actor. :)
Hope you guys enjoyed these little extras! :) Have a great day.
I love the little jokes,
ReplyDeleteOh and I roasted your husband!! Sorry it's a little joke, when I was like two I used to say Roast Beast instead of roast beef, LOL!
Aw, Doomsday and The End of Time made me sob! Rose really did love him. :( I'm glad she ended up with a sort-of doctor though.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, love those pics! Awesomeness. :D
I'll be sure to check out those videos later as well.
You posted the Detox scene!!! :D
ReplyDeleteThe dolls, that's hilarious! XD I'll have to tell him. ;)
ReplyDeleteSpicemuffin, I felt the same way. David Tennant and Billie Piper made them so believable as a couple. :)
Hayden, I couldn't resist! ;) It's one of my absolute favorite scenes. It makes me laugh every time I see it. :)
AHHH!!! Loved the pics!!! Doomsday and Journey's End does so much for my tragedy-loving heart. As they said in Blink, "Sad is happy for deep people." :D And I still feel bad for Ten. He kissed all his other companions, why couldn't he have actually gotten to kiss the girl he loved? SIGHHH. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so glad you enjoyed my videos. Just amateur labors of love. :D
And you're so right...the chemistry between David and Billie made it what it is...right casting is so crucial to a believable story!
Anyway. LOVE LOVE LOVE and it's been well worth the wait! :)
Thanks, Alexandra. :) Glad you enjoyed the post.
ReplyDeleteLol...I keep forgetting about that quote. Maybe that's why I keep subjecting myself to sad clips. :} I kind of mentioned this in the earlier post, but I also use sad, heartfelt clips or music like this to get me in the right mindset when I have to write something sad. It really helps. :) Of course, then I'm weepy the entire day, so it probably gets a little old for my family. ;) "Mommy, why are you crying? I just spilled some ketchup." :}
I LOVE your videos! I've always wanted to try the whole fanvid set to music thing, but I've never gotten around to it. It's probably just as well since I have absolutely NO video editing experience. I also really don't need another hobby right now. ;) I think you captured Ten and Rose's relationship beautifully.
So happy to hear from you again. Like I said before, you, Kellie and Natasha were the ones who first got me interested in the series, so it means a lot that you stopped by and shared your thoughts. :) I actually went back and looked at Natashas's Doctor Who party posts from October (including your guest post). I wish I'd been into Doctor Who then...the questions were so fun!
Hope you have a good week!
I do still think it would be a little weird having "Doc Two" instead of the real doctor, even if he does have all the same memories and look like him. Rose knows the other Doctor is out there somewhere. At least hers still looks like David Tennant though! And hey, if the Doctor can marry River Song, why couldn't he have married Rose?!
ReplyDeleteAnd off topic, if you have a Claire's near you, they have doll sized Hello Kitty hair clips (not barretts. Those claw type things.) in their 10 items for $10. There are alot of them on the card, in all different colours.
I agree...the whole situation was just weird. :} But I suppose we can console ourselves with the fact that at least she wasn't just alone again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the Hello Kitty stuff at Claire's. I'll have to check it out! :)
Love your blog! I also LOVE David Tennant! To give you a little hint I am Alexandra's younger sister, one of many :) She told me about your blog and I am loving it already!
ReplyDelete-Belle
Thanks, Belle. Nice to "meet" you. :) I've really enjoyed getting to know your older sister through the blogging world. I'm looking forward to getting to know you too. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Great name, by the way. ;)
Hey, sorry I haven't commented in a bit, sort of busy with stuff. Anyway, thanks! I can't wait to get to know you as well. Really enjoy your blog, and Belle is my favorite Disney Princess, and Rapunzel is probably my second, so we have a few things in comment :P
ReplyDelete-Belle
No problem, Belle. I understand. :)
ReplyDeleteI always love meeting other Belle and Rapunzel fans. :D Hope you have a great week!
lol the justin bieber thingy. I totally agree
ReplyDeleteHee hee...I just couldn't resist that one. ;)
