A Quick Hello

Hi guys!  Just thought I'd let you know that I'm still alive over here. ;)  Ever since I got back from Ladies Retreat, I feel like I've hit the ground running!!

By the way, I just have to say thank you.  Over 600,000 page views?  My mind is officially blown! ;)  You guys are the greatest!

I have a writing friend coming over tomorrow, so tonight I'm scrambling around trying to get the house looking halfway presentable. :}  As a result, the posts for Jane Austen and Unicorns and Belle's Bulletins that should have been up today will be up tomorrow instead.  Maggie, Tess, and Belle wanted to make sure I let you know that they'll get them up sometime tomorrow...most likely the afternoon or evening as I'm not sure how long my guest will be here.

In the meantime, some fun news for My Little Pony fans:  Costco has a really cool big set of ponies for $28.99 right now.  My mom snapped a quick picture of it for me on her cell phone when she was there Tuesday:

The set includes: (top row) Dewdrop Dazzle, Princess Celestia, Nightmare Moon, Rainbow Dash, (bottom row) Minty, Rarity, Spike, and Fluttershy.

This is the first time that Minty has been released as a G4 regular-sized pony (she was previously released as a blind bag pony), so that's super exciting. :)

And speaking of My Little Pony, Season 4 begins next month!!  I'm super excited to see what they do with Season 4.  A Comic Con preview has been added to YouTube...it looks like it could be an interesting season, to say the least!

While we're on the subject of previews and upcoming things, how many of you watched the new "Frozen" trailer?  What do you think?  I must admit, I wasn't sure what to think at first.  The trailer seemed so frenzied and "hip".  However, I've watched it a few more times since then and am definitely getting more excited for the movie (which comes out November 27th).  It's definitely a better trailer than the random snowman and caribou one they released first.  At least we now have a better idea of what the movie's about. ;)

For those of you who haven't seen the trailer yet, you can view it HERE.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday tomorrow!  I'll have more posts and a few updates for you coming soon. :)

  2. That will be a fun way to celebrate your birthday! :) I love the fact that they're releasing movies around Thanksgiving again. When I was little, there were many Thanksgiving breaks where my family would go see the latest Disney film together. I'm looking forward to making more Disney memories this Thanksgiving. :)

  3. That's the first I've seen that pony set in stores! I'm skipping on it myself, because I already have all the ponies, cause I folded like a cheap card table and got Minty from Taobao. May I link this entry in my My Little Pony community to let my members know they can start looking for it?

  4. Feel free to, AJ. :) The stock at Costco only lasts for so long, so get the word out while it's still there.

    I actually caved and bought the set, so there will be a review coming soon. :} I still had some birthday money, and even though I had some of the ponies, I didn't have Minty or Dewdrop Dazzle, and I liked this Celestia a little better than mine. I don't have Nightmare Moon either, but I'll probably be reselling her as she freaks out my youngest daughter. ;)

  5. I hear that! If I really wanted it, I'd get it just for the baits for customs, cause having a few extra Celestia baits is never a bad thing.

    I'll be on the lookout for your review! I'm going to do a compare contrast between the two Minty figures (there was one that showed up on Taobao a couple years ago that looks quite different than the one in this set!) next I think, just for giggles.

  6. Lol...I keep trying to work up the nerve to do a MLP custom, but I haven't quite gotten there yet. ;) I have a Pinterest board with all of my custom ideas, though!

    I was SOO excited about Minty. She's so adorable! I almost would have been tempted to get the set just for her. :}

    I hadn't realized there was another version of her! It will be interesting to see the comparison.

    BTW, I've been meaning to thank you for recommending my blog on your website. I haven't followed, but I do lurk every once in a while. ;)

  7. Ah, you're welcome! I know that I'm not everyone's speed, what with my mouth like a trucker, but I'm always happy to help drive traffic to people I like!

    Yes! The original Minty was quite a bit different actually, and was never seen again. I got really, really lucky in getting her and she's been the pride of my shelf for awhile.

  8. We do definitely have different writing styles, but you have a lot of great information,too. Because I have quite a few younger gals in my reading audience, I try to only link to or follow sites that I can 100% recommend for all ages. I hope you understand.

    Very interesting about Minty...I had no idea! I just recently found a few sites that will hopefully get me into the MLP loop a little more. I'm also on the MLP Trading Post, but I've been really horrible at participating in forums lately. :{ I'm probably involved in too many (four of them). :}

  9. I understand completely hon, don't even worry!

    Post is up if you're interested to see, it became a lot more than I had originally intended, at some point I turned into some kind of Plucky Girl Detective.
