Whew, what a day! Somehow these posts just get up later and later. So much for having more time once the girls were in school. :}
I realized that I missed an important category of Lalaloopsies in my reviews so far this month. Tonight we'll be focusing on the Lalaloopsy Littles.
The Lalaloopsy Littles are the little brothers or sisters of the regular Lalaloopsies. They stand at around 7 inches tall. Here we have Sprinkle Spice Cookie, the little sister of Crumbs Sugar Cookie. My mom managed to find her at Goodwill. :) Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, the "chocolate" on her face is supposed to be there. Apparently she's a messy eater. ;)
Here is Sprinkle with her big sister Crumbs. :) Crumbs is wearing Hearts For Hearts Girls Nahji's meet shirt (Middle Gal enjoys swapping doll clothing back and forth.) ;)
Since we purchased Sprinkle secondhand, she is not complete. She originally came with a bib, bloomers, a pet mouse, and a bottle as well. You can see her stock photo on Amazon.com HERE.
In this photo, Sprinkle demonstrates how she can sit down. The Littles have jointed arms and legs, and their heads move from side to side.
A view from the back. You can see here that Sprinkle's booties have slits in the back for easy removal.
Just like the bigger Lalas, the Littles have "R" and "L" on the bottoms of their shoes to show which is which.
Here's what they look like undressed.
Sprinkle has a cute pink painted on diaper, complete with painted on safety pin. She also has the same "x" thread belly button as the other dolls.
Identifying marks on Sprinkle's head and bottom:
As I said before, the Littles' heads move from side to side. They do not move forward or backward.
Their arms and legs can move back and forth in their sockets.
The Lalaloopsy Littles fun doesn't end with the 7 inch Littles. In 2012, mini Littles were introduced. They each came with a big sister and the big sister's pet.
The two pictured here are Scribbles Splash, the little sister of Spot Splatter Splash, and Bundles Snuggle Stuff, the little sister of Mittens Fluff 'n Stuff. These cuties are "sew" adorable. :) They stand at about 1.5 inches tall. My girls love taking them along on trips and car rides. :)
They look really cute with their big sisters, too.
The arms, body, and legs on the mini Littles are one solid piece and do not move.

Their heads move from side to side, however:
The Lalaloopsy Littles are some of my favorite dolls from the Lalaloopsy line. The regular Littles are a nice size for children's hands. Plus, with their jointed legs and flat feet, they are much sturdier than their big sisters, even with their over-sized heads. They usually retail for around $17, so they are also a little cheaper than their older siblings.
The mini Littles are absolutely adorable and are some of our very favorites at the Never Grow Up house. The sets they come in usually retail for about $8, so they're pretty reasonable. I just recently found out on the Lalaloopsy Fan Club that there are more mini Littles sets scheduled for release this next year! :) My daughters and I are very excited to see them. :)
For more information on the Lalaloopsy Littles, you can visit the Lalaloopsy Headquarters' page about them HERE.
More Lalaloopsy and My Little Pony fun to come, including that Lalaloopsy Workshop doll review I promised. :}
What do you think of the Lalaloopsy Littles?
Those are so cute! I may have to look into getting some of the minis (or even the mini littles!) for my AG dolls!
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying these posts!
Christina
They're really cute! I'm just wondering how the company justifies the high price when the doll has such a limited range of motion and cannot change clothes or hairstyles. Is there some extra feature that I'm missing here?
ReplyDeleteGreat review of the Littles and the Mini Littles. I got one of the Littles, then a whole bunch of clothes for it - and I cant Find the doll! I keep resisting getting another one, but Wow you are tempting me LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe littles are so cute! I have a mini Little Squirt Littoe Top, and she's sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're enjoying the reviews, Christina. :) The minis and Littles are great for the 18" dolls. :)
ReplyDeleteHi N! No extra features. The regular Lalas don't really have any extra features either, though, and they cost around $25 or so. :} That's why I usually wait until I can find them secondhand. ;) If one of the Littles was cute enough, though, I'd be tempted to spend the $16. ;)
Whoops, sorry to tempt you, Tiggy! ;) I hope you find her soon!
Oh, I know, Nina. There's something so precious about the mini Littles. :) I think my favorite mini Littles are Bundles Snuggle Stuff and Blanket Featherbed. :)
The Littles are so adorable in their bigger and mini sizes. I love the chocolate on her face, that is so sweet. Enjoyed the review, thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Michele. :) Glad you enjoyed it!
