A Quick Hi! :)

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to pop in and let you know that I'm still alive. ;)  The week has been a crazy one, but things should slow down a bit over the next couple of days...before they get nutso again. :}

My plan is to have the Via E. Alexis review up by Friday, and I should have at least one more post up next week, but other than that, things will be pretty quiet around here for a bit. :}  This weekend, we have an overnight birthday party for my niece (girly movies, ice cream and pizza...what more could you ask for?). ;)

The following weekend, we'll be taking our annual combined birthday trip with my three daughters.  Their birthdays are in February, March, and April, so usually we go a little later.  However, because Middle Gal is having the roof of her mouth expanded beginning in early February, we decided to take the trip earlier than usual so she could eat whatever she wanted and also not have sore teeth. :}  We will be visiting an AMERICAN GIRL PLACE for the first time ever (hooray!!), as well as hitting a Disney Store and a Build-a-Bear, so we're all super excited and saving our pennies. ;)

The week after we get back from that, I'll be hosting the February doll club meeting at my home and sharing about our trip to the AG Place.  Unfortunately, my brilliant plan to get my house all clean and organized before our birthday trip has not worked out so far. :{  So as you can imagine, next week I'll be up to my ears in housework and also busy unpacking from one weekend and packing for the next.

All that to say, you might not hear much from me for a while, but once things slow down in February, my blogging should get back to normal.  And of course, I'll take lots of pictures from our trip to share with all of you. :D

I guess that's it for now.  Time to get ready for my writing day tomorrow (plots and character motivations for my novels are coming together wonderfully) and then head to bed.  Talk to all of you again Friday!!  :)

  1. Sounds like a fun way to end the month! Hopefully the house work isn't too much of a headache. ;)
    Is Middle Gal getting braces? Is that what you mean of expanding her mouth? I know she will be brave! :-)

  4. Thanks so much, everyone. :)

    Sunny, Middle Gal is having an expander put in the roof of her mouth. It has a little key I have to turn, and it will slowly widen the roof of her mouth. Right now she has no room for the new teeth that are coming in. This will hopefully help her avoid braces in the future, but it's more a matter of having room for her teeth for now. :)

  5. I went to the AG store for a birthday a few years ago. Its fun but try to have an idea of what your going to buy or you might go home with and empty wallet ;)

  7. That's great! I wish there was somewhere near me with an AG store and a Disney Store.

  8. Sounds like a fun trip!

    Also, I had an expander when I was in middle school (9 years ago), and I don't remember it being super painful, it was more like a small sinus infection afterwards. I remember it going away fairly quickly, but then again it was 9 years ago, so my memory isn't exactly fresh.

  9. *brb stowing away in your suitcase* :D

    Have fun on your trip - that sounds like one awesome weekend! And best of luck to Middle Gal - I had an expander as a teenager, and it was the absolute pits. Braces were a welcome change after that thing! I'll be thinking of her and wishing her the best!

  10. Thanks so much, everyone! We're all super excited. :)

    Akasailorsea and Jen, thanks for the info on the expander. Maybe it will be easier for Middle Gal since she's smaller? Either way, I'm glad we're taking the trip early, just in case. ;)

    Lol, Jen, wish you could come too. :) We're really looking forward to our first AG Place trip. The Disney Store and Build-a-Bear makes it even nicer! :D
