Hi everyone! Just wanted to say "hello" and wish you all a happy Monday. :) Today is pretty full, so I won't have time to post. I should have something new sometime tomorrow, though. :)
In the meantime, enjoy my new header and have a great week! :)
Happy Monday to you, too! I love the new header! Her glasses are super cute and that blue dress looks gorgeous against the green foliage. I'm not sure how quickly Autumn starts to take over in your neck of the woods, but here some leaves are already starting to change and I am hanging onto these summer blues and greens for dear life!
ReplyDeleteWow, your new header is truly stunning! It's definitely one of my favorites :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much to both of you! :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer your photo montage headers, but this single image is nice too (variety is the spice of life after all). The composition of this shot, with the foliage framing the doll, is very artsy, and it's a charming depiction of a great way to spend a lazy summer afternoon (some of the leaves are already starting to turn color where I live!)
ReplyDeleteWas it tricky to get the doll into focus? I know sometimes cameras can get "confused" about what should be in focus when there are objects in the foreground, between you and your subject, like those leaves/branches.
It's good that you put an effort into varying the look of your blog periodically. I haven't updated the layout/design of the home page of my web site in years (I just keep swapping out thumbnail images of whatever my latest additions are).
Thanks, Mark. I try to change things up a bit between headers. :) Single images are a lot easier and faster to do, too, and I was short on time yesterday. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe picture was one of several I took for a photo contest on AGPT earlier this summer. :) Believe it or not, Little Gal was actually the one who came up with the idea of taking the photo from above through the branches. I thought it was a great idea, so I tried it, and here we are. ;)
It was a little bit difficult to get it to focus on Emma and not the branches, but thankfully my camera figured it out after a couple of shots. ;)
WOW! Emma looks absolutely gorgeous in that dress! You are awesome and a true inspiration to every blogger out there. Your photography skills are amazing and so is your talent for blogging. I keep reading your blog and looking through your archives and there is always something new to learn.
