Live Action Cinderella Items on Disneystore.com

Hey everyone!  Like the title says, some live action Cinderella items are starting to show up on the Disney Store website.  A lot of the pictures of the items aren't showing up for me yet (not sure if that's just my computer or an issue with the website).  Hopefully the problem will resolve soon.  I'd really like to get a look at the Cinderella and Prince set.  Not that I'm ready to fork out $70 for two fashion dolls, but I'd at least like to get a look. ;)

You can see everything on the site so far HERE.

The Mattel versions of the dolls have apparently been starting to show up in Target, too.  In this case, I think I almost prefer Mattel's renditions, but I'd like to see them in person first before definitely deciding. :)

Happy Shopping! :)

  1. That baby Gus costume they have is adorable! :D

  2. I like the Mattel version better as well. I wonder if they will add any of the other characters that the Disney store has.

All the characters look so glum, though. They don't have to have a mega-huge Barbie smile, but Cinderella ought to look at least a bit happy on her wedding day, no?

I think the best piece out of the whole thing is the carriage. I like that it has a little grip in back where the footman stands, but unless I missed something, it doesn't come with a footman?? I'm also afraid the spokes on those wheels will break. They remind me of the wheels on the Princess Strawberella carriage from about 10 years back. I bought one cheap on ebay to replace my daughter's broken wheels, when the seller reluctantly informed me he'd broken one of the wheels while packing it! I still took it, since daughter's carriage only needed two wheels replaced, and I'd gotten it cheap, as I said.

  4. Wow, thanks for sharing the links..I'm really excited for this movie to come out and I am thankful the dolls don't completely appeal to me (thankful to my wallet!) I do think the fairy godmother is probably my favorite one of them, though..gorgeous!

  5. Oh my, I don't like the look of those dolls at all!

  6. I prefer mattel's too, the head sculpt, hair and dress is better. Disney store got some point for making the prince, but also lost it for selling him as a set and the ugly head sculpt(seen from the side he looked monstrous).

  7. I think so too, Hayden! :)

Barb, I'm pretty sure Mattel is doing the Fairy Godmother and Lady Tremaine. I'm not sure if there will be any others. I'd love to see them do a Prince doll, too.

I completely agree about their facial expressions. The Disney Store Prince looks downright annoyed. ;) The actor playing the part is quite handsome, but that didn't translate very well into the doll. Even a touch of a smile on some of them would be nice.

I think I missed the carriage. Was that on the Disney Store site? When I first published this, I couldn't see all of the pictures, and now I'm sure some things have sold out.

Me too, All AG! The movie looks fun enough by itself, and the fact that the new Frozen Fever short will be played with it is even more exciting! :D

You're welcome, Farrah Lily. Lol, I hear you about a thankful wallet. They're pretty spendy and I'm not ready to plunk that much money out over a doll I'm not completely in love with. (And really, I shouldn't plunk that much money out for a doll right now anyway!) The Fairy Godmother is very pretty. :)

Aileen, I really WANT to like these dolls. I wish they hadn't given Cinderella such a square jaw, and I wish she and the Prince were smiling. :} I love the clothing, though. What I'd love to do (if I was independently wealthy) is buy the Cinderella and Prince wedding set and have Noel Cruz paint custom faces. Wouldn't that be awesome? :D

  8. Whoops, sorry I missed your comment, tofanpw! I do like Mattel's doll better, too. And yes, the Prince looks pretty bad in profile! :}

  10. You're welcome. :) I look at his sight and drool over his dolls every once in a while. ;) Someday, I'd love to buy a custom doll from him. :)
