Happy Friday, everyone! I wanted to pop in and do a quick "Fan Mail Friday" post while I had the chance. :)
This past month I received two lovely pieces of mail. First, I got another handmade card and a fun package from my friend Treesa. :)
Here's the card she sent. :)
She made me this pretty bookmark with my name on it, which will be put to good use for my planned summer reading. ;)
Here's what it looks like on the back.
She also sent me five "Beauty and the Beast" comic books from the 1990s. These are a fun addition to my BatB collection. Thanks so much, Treesa! :)
Here are pictures of all five covers:
The comic books tell additional stories of what happened in the castle during Belle's stay. :) It will be fun to read them. :) Thanks so much, Treesa! :)
I also received a sweet letter and pretty hand-drawn picture of Belle from an anonymous fan from Maine:
Thank you so much, my friend in Maine. ;) You did a great job with your artwork, and your kind words made my day. :) Hope things are going well on your side of the country. ;)
My Fan Mail wall is starting to fill up. :)
I will not be sending a prize this month, since my fan in Maine wishes to remain anonymous and I already sent goodies to Treesa, but I do plan to continue sending little treasures in the future.

In other news, in about a half an hour, I'll be heading up to a mini writing retreat with two of my writing friends. :D We'll be staying in a cabin with no Internet or cell service, so we should have lots of distraction-free writing time. :) Because of this, though, you won't hear from me again until next week.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and I'll talk to you again next week! :)
Ooh, how fun! Enjoy your retreat. :) I love Belle's dress on the comic with the wardrobe! It's very pretty, almost like a wedding dress with a golden overlay.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time! I love the idea of being internet and cell phone free! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, girls! :) I had a great time...working on a post about it now. :)
ReplyDeleteMyLittleMegara, I love that dress, too! I might have to try drawing it sometime. :)
Farrah Lily, it was nice to get away from the pull of the Internet for a while and have no distractions. But I have to admit, it was REALLY nice checking my phone and getting online again when I got back. :}
