Hey everyone! I checked Costco.com today, and they finally have pics up of the new Alexander Girlz dolls! :) As always, they are more expensive to buy online. They are listed at $37.99 online as opposed to $28.99 in the store. I believe the $37.99 includes shipping, though. So if you have a Costco in the area, it's definitely cheaper to buy the dolls at the store yourself.
Anyway, without further ado, here are the pics:
Aren't they adorable? :)
To see more information, you can view them at

They are very cute! I'm not fond of the equestrian outfit, but I love the legging set that goes with this particular doll. I'm sure little girls (and big girls too) everywhere will adore them.
ReplyDeleteI actually don't mind the equestrian outfit, but I do like the other two a little better. I think you're right, though. I think they'll be a big hit this Christmas season. :)
ReplyDeleteIs that last one Maggie's twin at the bottom? (I just read Tess and Maggie's blog hehe!)
ReplyDeleteHi Hunter! :) The last doll is pretty much Maggie's twin (who knew she had so many?), except Maggie is rewigged.
ReplyDeleteMaggie's twin Kate, mentioned in Tess and Maggie's blog, is actually a re-wigged blue eyed Alexander Girlz doll from an earlier year.
Just don't tell Maggie that there are more of her out there...I don't know how she'd handle it!! ;) Especially since most of them are in frills and tutus. ;D
Where do you get your wigs. My daughter has a 2009 Alexander Girlz doll that she has loved the hair to death. I might be rewigging her, what is your wig recomendation. Will the wigged hair stand up to styling any better. I like the costco doll's faces better than the AG's.
ReplyDeleteHi Kinsey. :) Most of my wigs were purchased from prillycharmin.com. They have all sorts of doll supplies, and I've been impressed with the quality of the wigs I've gotten from them in the past (my Maggie wig is from them). The price is right, too. :) They will have measurement recommendations on their site. I usually go for a size 12-13 for the Alexander Girlz. You can also check prillycharmin's eBay listings. It's under the seller name sillyprilly.
ReplyDeleteI've also purchased Blythe wigs from eBay seller shopoholican, which are good quality but sometimes are a little big (they fit the Madame Alexander Friends Boutique dolls with bigger heads better).
A good quality wig will definitely stand up to styling better than the original Alexander Girlz hair.
I hope this helps! Feel free to comment again or email me (nevergrowup.beastsbelle@gmail.com) if you have any other questions. :)
I'm considering a less expensive alternative to the AM dolls for my two grand daughters. Do you consider these Costco Alexander dolls to be durable? Also, the description doesn't mention if they are poseable. Any suggestions you could offer me would be appreciated. I have also looked at the other 18 inch dolls by Madame Alexander and the ones at Toy R Us and Target. Thanks
