Barbies on EBay!

Okay, I bit the bullet and listed most of my recent Barbie collection on eBay this morning! :}  One of the things that inspired me to do so was the result of that Happy Family New Neighbor auction I was watching.  Yesterday, it was still at the starting bid of $20.  By the time the auction ended late last night, the two dolls went for $77.24!!!  I have the exact same to dolls and clearer pics, so I'm hoping for good results. :)

Just thought I'd give my auctions a shout out here in case any of you fell in love with the dolls on my Barbie page. :}  I've tried to be very fair in my pricing.  I did do a Buy it Now option for $50 on my Happy Family Dolls, just because of how much they've been going for.  So, we'll see what happens!

Here's a link to my items for sale:  EBay Barbies.

  1. I got the Mr. Clean magic eraser... but I got the "Kitchen scrubber." Does that work too??? Or should I get the original for cleaning my doll?????

  2. Hi Alexis. :) As long as it looks just like a Mr. Clean eraser and doesn't have an abrasive surface (like the rougher side of a sponge) it should work fine. I normally stick with Mr. Clean myself, but I've used off-brand Magic Erasers and still had success. :)

  3. It is the Mr Clean brand, but called kitchen scrubber, orange scent. Is this okay??? And it doesn't have a rough surface...

  4. I'm not sure what to tell you. I've never seen that kind before. If it's not abrasive, it shouldn't harm the doll's skin. You might check to see if there are any strong chemicals included, though. Also, I wouldn't use it unless you don't mind the scent, because your doll will smell like that once you're done! :} I'll be gone until tomorrow afternoon, but I'll try to do some more research for you. If you want to play it safe, I'd recommend holding out for the actual Magic Erasers themselves.

  6. I used to have the whole collection. I had the grandparents and their house, the car, the happy family house, the kids and parents, the whole midge set, and the little girl's friends. The midge's head popped of and Alan's arm did too. The grandma got stepped on and lost her arm, and the grandpa got lost. I loved them a lot and they all got thrown away one by one. heehee! They were played with very much. I am so glad you have one up for sale! I just found a midge I can afford, and you have an alan I might look into!! :) Cool! I love them all. :)

  7. Hi Elliebob! :) I really enjoyed the Happy Family Line, too. I didn't have them when they originally came out, but I thought they were really neat. Now that we're shifting the focus away from Barbies at our house, though, it was time for them to find new homes. :) It would be nifty if Alan ended up with you! :D

  8. I hope so. But I had a few questions about eBay. I have mostly done amazon. :). If you make a bid higher that the original, does it go to you when the time is up? Or can the owner make a choice not to sell. I know I should know this, but sadly, I don't. :)

  9. You put in your maximum bid, and as long as no one else puts in a maximum bid higher than you, you will win the item when the time's up. Sellers can decide not to sell the item, but there has to be a valid reason and it doesn't happen very often.

Just to let you know, a lot of people will bid on an item in the last few seconds of the auction, especially on dolls. This can be really frustrating...you think you've got it in the bag and someone swoops in and snatches it up at the last second. I just thought I'd warn you. :{ Hope it goes well for you! :)
