Strawberry Shortcake Week!

Hey guys!  I've been working on a review/comparison/collection post on Strawberry Shortcake dolls that ended up being way too much information for one post.  So, rather than overload you with one ginormous post that will take you forever to read, I've decided to divide the information into three smaller posts that will be published throughout the week.  Which means...it's just become Strawberry Shortcake week here at Never Grow Up! Yay! :D

The first post will be up later this afternoon (I have to wait until my girls get out of school so they can do their part of the review.)  The other two will follow in the coming days.

Here's a little preview of what's to come:

Since I made a spiffy new header just for this week, here's my previous header for my blogging records:

Talk to you again soon! :)

  3. I have the bandai one. I got it when I was up younger, still have her too! She's wearing a diff shirt and has no shoes though. I still have her sweater. And she has no hat.

P.S. Just in case anyone is wondering, I won't be selling her for a long, long, long time. Or ever, actually. She was a big part of my childhood, and I'm a very sentimental person.

  4. My youngest has lots of the Bandai items, except for some of the rarer dolls. She loved the Bandai era and thinks they have totally ruined Strawberry Shortcake with the newer editions. She is currently 15. :)

  5. I have some of that collection myself! I collect some Strawberry shortcake stuff, but I don't like the newer ones. Can't wait for the posts!!!

  6. Oh, this sounds like fun! I have a whole Strawberry Shortcake collection too. I haven't seen these latest ones, though--I'm looking forward to learning more about them.

  7. Wow, so many comments! :) I'm glad you're all excited about the week. The first official post is up! :)

Anonymous #1, the older SSC dolls can really vary in price, depending on the time of year and which dolls they are. I was able to get a boxed Orange Blossom from the Kenner line this summer for around $16, which is pretty good for a mint vintage SSC doll. :) Her box has some wear, but she's in great shape. You can also sometimes find them in thrift stores and such for even lower prices. I found several vintage SSC dolls at Goodwill for around $2.99 each, and the pets for 49 cents each. :)

As for Belle's Bulletins, there are days when I miss writing it, but I really felt it was time to move on. The story was at a good stopping point, too. I plan on having Belle stop by and guest post here sometime, though. :)

Sorry I didn't respond to everyone individually...I just decided to answer the question Anonymous had.

I hope you all enjoy the posts this week! :)

P.S. Cindybin, good to hear from you! It's been a while. :) Of course, it's good to hear from the rest of you too! ;)
