I always love shopping at Target right before Valentine's Day, because you can usually find a few fun doll or Disney goodies in their Valentine's Day section. This year was no different.
My eBay sales have done really well, so I'm using a portion of the proceeds for a few bloggy treasures, and the rest will go towards bills and such. It's a win/win! :)
The first thing I noticed in the Valentine's Day section were these adorable individual Squinkies:
I love the boxes they come in...they make perfect little display cases. :) There were several different ones. I noticed some of the Disney friends ones (I believe I saw "Lady and the Tramp" and "The Lion King") and some Hello Kitty ones, along with the Disney Princesses. Of course, when I saw they had Belle and Rapunzel I knew those were the ones that needed to come home with me. :)
Rapunzel comes with her tower. The tower includes a spot to attach Rapunzel.
Belle comes with the Beast's castle, which also includes a spot to attach her to the scene.
These were $1.99 each. I know they at least had Cinderella...I can't remember if there were any other princesses.
I also noticed that Target had their exclusive seasonal Lalaloopsy doll. This year, it's "Crumbs Loves Chocolate".
I think I already shared with you in a previous post that I wasn't too sold on Lalaloopsies when they first came out, but I've officially gotten hooked on these little cuties. I'm still not a huge fan of the full-sized dolls, but I love the minis! Isn't her package adorable? :)
I love Crumbs' little pink dress and white apron. :)
Her layered chocolate cake.
Her box of chocolates and mouse pet.
Her cookbook.
I love that each package says that Lalaloopsies are for "ages 4 to 104". :)
Crumbs' personal information.
Crumbs was $4.99, $2 less than the regular Lalaloopsy minis (another reason to be a fan of the seasonal ones!). These tend to go pretty quickly, so if you are interested in getting a Crumbs Loves Chocolate for yourself, I would get to your Target sooner rather than later.
I hope to have a Lalaloopsies review post up within the next couple of weeks. :)
Other items I saw but did not purchase were the seasonal Chelsea dolls (Barbie's littlest sister). There were 3 different ones that I saw: a blonde with blue eyes, a redhead with greenish eyes, and a dark brunette with brown eyes. They were all wearing cute little Valentine's Day outfits and were priced at $4.99 each.
Target also had several of the Magiclip Disney Princess dolls (the ones that are Polly Pocket sized). They had their new hairstyles from the recent Disney Princess revamp and also had beautiful new dresses. I saw Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, and Rapunzel. I'm not sure if there were any others. They were also marked at $4.99 each.
If any of these sound interesting to you, I would definitely make a trip to your Target store soon. I've found in the past that these specialty seasonal items tend to go out of stock pretty quickly. :)
Happy shopping! More fun posts to come. :)
CUTE! I love squinkies! I used to have them but then these two little girls came over and I never saw my squinkies again....hmmmmmmm. I'm not a fan of LaLaLoopsies though. 'Cause they're kind of creepy with the whole button eye ball thing. lol! Your reveiws are always so good! :) can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your Squinkies, Jordy. :( I hope they turn up.
ReplyDeleteI was a little creeped out by the button eye thing at first, too, but I've gotten over that and have come to love these cute little dolls. :)
Have a great day! :)
awsome so cute a LOVE your blog!
ReplyDeletelive laugh love
god bless
My DH and I go to Target at least twice a week. I keep looking for the seasonal Lala mini and haven't seen her yet! I'm not giving up! Crumbs loves Chocolate is really cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anonymous. :)
ReplyDeleteJen, I hope you find her! She's such a cutie. :)
Cuteness overload! I was a late adopter for the Lalaloopsies minis but I'm now an official fan. I'll be going to Target today on my lunch hour, thank you very much. I plan to pick up the Chelsea dolls too if my Target has them. Squinkies and Polly Pockets get on my nerves for some reason. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks, fitzcharming. :) Glad to help. Hope you find what you're looking for. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that Valentine Lalaloopsy! I hadn't seen that before! Unfortunately I couldn't find it at our Target. I had a gift card and was going to buy it, but instead bought a Skipper doll and the Littlest Pet Shop Sugar Chic Shoppe. It has a Blythe doll, dress up clothes for her, 4 pets and lots of treats, including a cake. My daughter-in-law doesn't like Lalaloopsy either but I do have several of the mini dolls and two full-sized dolls I found at a garage sale. I plan to bring the LPS set and Skipper to play with my granddaughter (her daughter) when I visit. I'm sure my daughter-in-law will be happier with them than with Lalaloopsy, lol. But still, that Valentine one is so cute, especially the cake!
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog layout.
Cindy
Hi Cindy, it's great to hear from you again. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Valentine's Lalaloopsy is one of my very favorites. I hope you find one for yourself eventually. :)
It sounds like you got some great goodies, though. Have fun playing with your granddaughter!
Glad you're enjoying the new layout, too. :)
I saw some of those Chelsea dolls at walmart
ReplyDeleteInteresting! I knew that Walmart carried Chelsea dolls, but usually the Valentine's Day ones are exclusive to Target. The Chelsea dolls are really cute. :)
