Kanani is Sold Out!!!

Hi everyone!  Kanani is officially labeled as sold out on Americangirl.com.  You can view her remaining items HERE.  It's getting to be pretty slim pickings!

I always feel a little bit sad when a Girl of the Year retires.  I was not personally interested in Kanani (although my aunt was), but it's still a little bit melancholy.  I guess I'm just weird that way! ;)  I am excited to see the new 2012 Girl of the Year, though. :)

It looks like Kanani's party dress is available for now, although it's on backorder.  You can also still get her pajamas, her paddle board set, and her books.  Everything else is gone!

Did you get the Kanani items you were hoping for this year?  Are you hoping there are some Kanani items waiting for you under the tree?  Are you excited to see what McKenna, the new Girl of the Year, looks like?

My 11-year-old sister got a Kanani doll for her birthday, and she was very happy with her (she looks JUST LIKE Addy (my sister, not the doll :-)), down to facial features.

I am really excited to see what McKenna looks like...especially since McKenna is one of my favorite names!

I have kanani, which makes me REALLY sad she is going away. :( I looked for the things I wanted, and they are sold out. :( I am sad, but happy I got the doll when she came out. :) Thanks for the link!

I'm hoping that McKenna is African American... they've never had one for GOTY and I think it would be really cool to have one for Girl of the Year! I really want her accessories... I love the camera!

Thanks for the comments, ladies! :) I agree that it's sad, but exciting at the same time as we look forward to seeing McKenna.

Jessie, I think it would be super cool if McKenna was African American! :D From what I've heard so far, it doesn't seem likely, but it would definitely be a nice surprise. :)

i have kanani and her starter collection i earned money to pay for her which makes her special well all my dolls are special but you know what i mean the one thing i would have liked to get but i didnt was the ukulele set because i have a ukulele. I think Mckenna will have blonde hair from the picture of the supposed actress that plays her. Her eye color is hard to tell from her picture(the actress) but even if her eye color is blue the doll could easily have brown, green, even purple eyes. Ok she probably wont have purple eyes. Oh and i know she will be a gymnast which you all probably know all ready. i think it would be cool to get some of her accesories because i used to be a gymnast and my mom did to so i would love to get a leotard with a scrunchie or something like that. Ok now I am done with my super long comment.
Happy Holidays,
Savanah

Hi Savanah, thanks for stopping by! :) Don't worry, I like super long comments. ;)

I've seen the pictures of the actress, too. I'm wondering if she'll be blonde or if she'll wear a wig (Anna Sophia Robb played Samantha, and she is blonde). I guess we'll just have to wait and see! :)

I am so bummed! I wanted Kanani's lounge chair set for Christmas! Darn..... :(
(oh and if the almost exact comment pops up too, it was taking a long time to load so I wrote this one)

I'm sorry, Anonymous. :( I know how disappointing that is.

I got your other comment as well, so I just published this one. :)

My friend Babs got me Kanani from the Visual department at the DC AG Place where she works. I don't get to open her until Christmas though, I just know that she's inside that package! haha. I can't wait to see what other goodies my boxes and packages contain.

How exciting, Korianne! :) I can't wait to hear what you think of her. Great to hear from you again.

Alexandra, I'm sorry I never responded to your comment...I just discovered it in my spam folder tonight! :{
