Of Colds and Disney Store Promotions

Hey guys.  I ended up with Little Gal's cold last night and I'm still feeling pretty miserable this morning, so I'll be spending most of the day resting while the girls are at school. :{

I had to pop in really quickly, though, and let you know about a fun sale at Disneystore.com over Veteran's Day weekend.  They have 25% off your entire order sitewide right now (with a few exclusions), as well as free shipping on orders over $75.  The promo code is DISNEYPAL.   Just wanted to get the word out since a lot of you are probably starting with your Christmas shopping. :)

I was really tempted by the Deluxe Frozen doll set with Anna and Elsa in their coronation gowns, but I'm going to be a good girl and resist. ;)  I hope you find some fun treasures at a great price, though! :)

Happy shopping!

Sorry your sick. I know the feeling, I have been sick for the past three WEEKS. And it's spread through the family. On another note, that Anna and Elsa set look so amazing! I honestly can't wait for Frozen!! Someone came up with an idea, that Jack Frost from Rise Of The Guardians and Rapunzel (From Tangled) are the parents of the two. Only theoretically, but it would make a LOT of sense. If Jack, who is Jack Frost, has icy magical powers, and Elsa does to, then there is the relationship. Also, Anna and Rapunzel share similar things, Anna has never been very far from home, one of her family members is kind of hidden away form her. Forbidden marriage, you know, the usual. While I enjoy this theory, and the beautiful sketch someone did of it, (You might have been the one who pinned on Pinterest, I'll have to check.) Everyone sadly knows this is not true. But it would be fun to watch Rapunzel trying to heal her daughter, and not being able to and that's why they took her to the troll. Even more amusing would be seeing Rapunzel just standing there, watching her husband and daughter creating snowballs out of mid air for a snowball fight, in July. Well, long comment, crazy theory, and some fun scenes to imagine, seems like a me thing.

Hi Casey! Love your new profile picture. :) Yes, I'm trying to be strong and keep to window shopping myself. ;)

Thanks for the get better wishes, everyone. I took a long nap today while the girls were in school, and I'm feeling much better than I was. I'll definitely have to take it easy for a few days, though. :}

Abbie, I don't think I'm the one who pinned that, but I think it's very clever. :) I'm sure there will be a lot of fan fiction out there using those characters. :)

*offers chicken soup*

*virtual chicken soup, because, well...Ohio.*

I'm tempted by the Disney Store sale too - not for myself, but I've been waiting for the 11" Maximus to go on sale for Pieface! I'm still kicking myself for forgetting to order him while he was 40% off. :/ BUT, I went kinda crazy during the $8 Sketchbook Ornament sale two weeks ago. (Mulan is so adorable! As is Spiderman! And Lilo and Stitch! And Iron Man isn't adorable, but Tony Stark is my homeboy, so there's that.) I think I'll take my chances and hope for a bigger sale later on...

I've seen a huge amount of fanart on Pinterest with a team of Rapunzel, Jack Frost, Merida, and Hiccup from "How to Train Your Dragon." Apparently the four-way mashup is a big thing? I can kinda see Hiccup and Merida hanging out - they share a rough timeframe and geographic locale - but I'm not sure where the other two would come in. (Then again, I haven't seen Rise of the Guardians yet.)

Hope you're back up to 100% soon!

I'm a thinkin the dame thing. I'll have to find it for you, it's a very cute and sweet little story someone did, and the drawings were very accurate. (Picture actual pictures from a professional illustrator.)

Thanks for the virtual chicken soup, Jen. ;) I'm feeling a lot better today, but I'm still really worn out. :}

I'm hoping for another bigger sale later from Disney Store, too. Maybe Cyber Monday? ;) I hope you get Pieface's Maximus, though. :)

I completely missed the ornament sale, which is probably a good thing. ;)

I think I've seen the four-way mashup thing on Pinterest, too! It's interesting seeing what people come up with.

That would be fun, Abbie. :)

Thanks, American Girl Dolls Rock. :)

Don't worry, Abbie. ;) I've always thought it was sad that there's no option to fix spelling errors in the comments...I tend to make errors myself. ;)

yeah, It's one of bloggers main flaws for me. I can handle everything else, minor set backs, comments that can't be edited are a problem.

Maybe that's something they'll change in the future. :)
