God's Jewels

I just had to share some pics with you from this morning.  We got to record-breaking low temperatures last night, so it got really cold.  The other thing you should know is that our sprinklers are on a timer and we keep forgetting to turn them off now that winter is approaching.  So, what do you get when you cross a freezing cold morning with running sprinklers?  God's jewels on your lawn!  :)

Tess enjoys the frosty morning. :)

Beautiful Photographs!
In the past 48 hours we've had frozen rain, rain (the wet kind), snow, sleet, black ice, and it's snowing again (no hail, but that's a Summer thing). It's no life for a southern boy. At least I no longer have the nasty commute to work.
Oh, and I love the beauty and craftsmanship of your writing.

Thanks so much, AlexAndrea! :) I appreciate the encouragement and complements (especially since I'm hoping to be a published author at some point in my life). :) The photography has been an unexpected blessing along the way.

Sorry you've had such bad weather. I know how hard that can be when you're not used to it. :) We probably won't get much snow here...we get it about every 3 or 4 years, and it's only once in a great while that it sticks. That used to disappoint me, but now that I'm a mom who has to drive kiddos to school every day, I'm not nearly as sad about it. :)
