All that to say that I haven't forgotten my promised post. It'll be up this next week. ;)
I thought I'd share just a few pictures from yesterday's decorating. We had so much fun, and the girls were in a totally goofy mood. ;)
Oldest Gal, Little Gal, and Middle Gal hanging ornaments.
Hubby decorating the tree.
All finished...except for the topper. We put that up today. ;)
It's hard to believe this is our eighth Christmas in this house. The girls are growing up so fast. Christmas is a time that has always made me nostalgic, but I think having kids makes the holidays even more that way. It feels like just a day ago I had three little toddlers bouncing around the tree. Now I've got an almost-twelve-year-old who looks so grown up it's scary, a goofy almost-ten-year-old who keeps us laughing at her silly antics, and an imaginative almost-eight-year-old who spent the entire day dressed up as Anne of Green Gables. ;)
It's easy to get caught up in the stress and rush of this season, especially this year when I'm so behind on many of my Christmas preparations. But even in the crazy whirlwind of Christmas parties, Christmas programs, and other activities, I want to take the time to cherish these special days with my girls. All too soon, it'll be just Hubby and me decorating the tree, wishing to have these days back again.
Okay, enough of that or I'll start crying. ;) I hope you and yours are enjoying this special time of year, and that you'll remember in all the craziness to treasure your loved ones and think about the reason for the season, the birth of our Savior. :)
Talk to you later this week! :)

I got excited to see the rare hubby sighting. He hehe
Beautiful tree and family! My son is almost 3 now and I can't believe it. Today he saw my hubby and I decorating the tree and in that little voice said, "Happy birthday Jesus." (Not so proper but for better understanding I clarify) I was very proud. He even gave me his favorite toy to give to Him.
Wishing your family well, lots of prayers, and can't wait for that post. God bless!

It seems like just yesterday my kids were little, too. But don't worry, hopefully they will have kids and someday you'll be like us this Christmas, having three little ones running around. We will be busy this year just making sure the toddler doesn't pull the tree down!
Lovely photos! Yes, treasure these times. Life brings constant change, but each phase is precious in it's own way.

I love the photo of the girls decorating the tree..it looks so cozy! I get very nostalgic this time of year as well and can relate to just what you mean about trying to be in the present and enjoy the moments. It more than just opening presents no Christmas morning...it's the build up to Christmas that I enjoy the most. Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family!
Thanks so much for the lovely comments, everyone. I'm so glad you enjoyed the post. :)
