New Items Released at Americangirl.com!

Hi guys, just a quickie today.

I wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of the new releases for American Girl that were uploaded to their site last night.  Unfortunately, it's difficult to catch everything because of the way their search is set up, but there are new items in the My AG and Bitty Baby categories.  Saige also has a new outfit.  You can get to the AG online site HERE.

For me personally, none of the new releases were must-haves.  Which is nice, since I don't need to buy anything else right now. ;)  Here are a few photos of some of the new products:

There were two new My AG dolls released.  This is #59...

...and this is #60.

Both dolls are pretty, but not necessarily ones I'm interested in adding to my collection.

One of the most interesting (and affordable) group of new releases were these beautiful backdrop scenes for display or play:

The Winter Fun Scene:
The Gala Party Scene:

The Classroom Scene:

The Sunny Park Scene:
Each of the scenes retail for $12 and fold up for easy storage after play.  Apparently you can even download sound effects for each scene online.

There are also several new outfits that were released.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Flower Sweater and Skirt

Silver Stitch Hoodie

Striped Hoodie Outfit

Tropical Bloom Outfit

I also like Saige's new Tunic Outfit.

These Polka Dot Flats are cute, but not worth the $14 they cost, in my opinion. :}
The same with these Bow Toe Moccasins.

There are some fun new accessories, too:

Charlie would love this new Science Lab set:
The new backpack set is cute, too:

And this School Food Cart is adorable, but way out of my price range:

On the site, you can see a cool 360 view. :)

Another interesting addition are the hair accessories and extensions for dolls, which you can see HERE.  I really like the braided headband.  I must confess, though, I'm wondering how those ginormous buns are going to work without making the dolls topple over. :}

Of course, the other major news is the official announcement of Molly's archival:

So those of you who are Molly and Emily fans might want to focus on their items.

There are other new releases, but these at least give you a taste of what's there.  What are your thoughts on the new items?  Which are your favorites?

UPDATE:  (6/29/13)  I just got an email with a link to ALL of the new items.  Since it can be so difficult to find everything, I thought I would include the link HERE. :)  Enjoy!

Did you also see that the holiday accesories are only nine dollars? Eep! Must get before it sells out..

Yes! :) My mom actually picked up a set, and they're adorable. :)

Awesome! :)
Do you think you'll get Molly/Emily or anything from their collection before they retire?

And I can't wait to see what you got from the sale. The Bitty Baby holiday outfit, and the 18 inch one are similar, but not the same. ;) I can't wait to see the review on those two!

I love those backgrounds - and they are really reasonable! I can't wait to see them in person when I go to AG next month.

Thanks for featuring the new release on your blog. I don't like the way the AG website is now - very hard to see all the "new" things in one place (hard is an understatement - I couldn't figure out how to do it at all!)

AGMarket, I would love to get Molly's new bed, but I just don't see myself being able to spend that much on a doll bed anytime soon. ;) I don't think I'll be getting any of the other Molly or Emily stuff either. Most of my AG items I buy secondhand or on really good sales. ;)

This does make me more thankful for the Molly I found at an out of town Goodwill for $2.99, though! ;)

Hi Jenny...or should I say Jenny's human? ;) I really liked the look and price of the backgrounds too. You'll have to tell me what you think when you see them in person. ;)

You're welcome. I also find AG's search frustrating when trying to find their new products. I found most of the items by going to AGPlaythings first and following the links that the members provided. ;) There were quite a few things I'd missed!

Hi! :) I also found a Molly at a goodwill (in August) for $3.99. I think I might buy a NIB Emily. My sibling has her, and she is really pretty, but I just never felt like splurging. ;) {I myself mostly buy from just Ebay or huge sales, that is why I have 22 dolls!}

This is actually the first release in a while that's appealed to me! I love the Science set, and the striped hoodie outfit, and the wee bento lunch. The backpack...I love the accessories, but I think the previous backpack design was cuter. (It's still available on the site. Hrm. Now I'm tempted, lol.)

I also really like Saige's tunic outfit, but I wish the sleeves were longer! It would look so pretty on Nasrin, but she only wears full-length sleeves!

All in all, I can't wait to see all this in person in Columbus!

I hope you're able to get your Emily, AGMarket. :) Lol, it's definitely easy to end up with a huge doll collection when you buy them secondhand, isn't it? ;)

I'm glad you found some things that appeal to you, Jen. How fun that you get to see everything in person! :)

I've forgotten what the previous backpack looked like...I'll have to check it out. ;)

Have a great day! :)
