New Room Tour Video Up and Your Questions Needed

Hi everyone!  I hope your week is going well!  I want to apologize to those of you who left me comments on the blog this past week.  I've gotten behind and had a lot of other things going, like working on Kickstarter rewards and taking care of a sick kiddo.  I also got sucked into the Facebook vortex.  It's amazing how many friends from your past start connecting with you when you switch to your real name. ;)  This week I plan on responding to all of the comments.  Thanks for your patience! :)

I thought it was about time for me to do another room tour video.  A lot of my displays have changed since my last room tour video.  I also wanted to try out my phone camera and see how it did.  The picture's a lot clearer than my regular camera, but I definitely need to practice holding my phone with a steady hand (sorry if I make you guys seasick). ;)  You can see the video HERE.

If you'd like to save the video for later, or just want a little preview, I also took some pictures of my shelves and things to share here. :)

Here are my doll rooms.  I don't go into a whole lot of detail on the video.  I'll probably do a video on just these three rooms at a later date.

Here are my white shelves next to my doll rooms.

The tops of the shelves have some of my Beauty and the Beast collectibles:

The first set of shelves have my Strawberry Shortcake dolls, my rainbow setup of my other small toys and collectibles, and a shelf of books.

The middle section has my Pullips, J-Dolls, and mini Blythes, my Fluttershy collection, and my blind bag-sized G4 Ponies.

The next section has my G1 Ponies, my extra G4 Ponies, and another shelf of books.

My Frozen and Tangled collections are on the shelf next to my closet.

Then I have this fun little white shelf that my parents painted for me.

It's nice having my BFC Ink, Karito Kids, and Hearts For Hearts Girls all together in a nice space where I can enjoy them. :)

In the far corner is my curio and dresser.

You can click on the pictures to see more detail, although I can't guarantee how great they are up close. ;)  Also, be sure to watch the video if you want to hear more about each section.

And speaking of videos, I'd like to do another "Ask Beast'sbelle" (or should it now be "Ask Hannah"?) Vlog for my YouTube channel.  In this vlog, I'll video myself answering the questions instead of having a group of dolls for you to look at. ;)  In order to do that, though, I need some questions from all of you! :)  So, if you have a burning question, a suggestion or request for the blog or my YouTube channel, or want to share something else on your mind, leave me a comment below.  I'll respond to questions and discuss suggestions in the vlog. :)  My plan is to do the Vlog sometime during the second week of February, so that gives you a little less than two weeks to leave me your questions. :)  I look forward to hearing from you guys! :)

Talk to all of you later!  I'm off to do some writing, and then I'll start working on blog comments later tonight. ;)

UPDATE:  I've now received enough questions for my daughters that I've decided to include them in the vlog as well.  You won't see their faces, but I'll come up with a way for them to answer your questions in person.  So if you have questions for them, please leave them in the comments as well. :)  They're very excited! :)

Hi Beastsbelle, or should I call you Hannah? ;) Here's a question: Where do you get the money for all those dolls?

I love these Q and A videos!!! Lovely room tour!
My questions for you:
Now that you are no longer anonymous, are you nervous or embarrassed to film or post pictures of yourself? How do you get through it and not just quit?
Will it be possible to do more vlogs? I understand you have daughters and want to protect them by not showing their faces so vloging can be a bit tricky.
What name do you prefer to be called? I feel so strange calling you Hannah after calling you BeastsBelle forever. ;)
Last questions are for your daughters if that's okay. You can have them answer off camera. :D
Do you like having your mom interview you for the blog? Is it awesome or overwhelming to know a lot of people read your opinions?
Do you think you'll continue to collect dolls when you are older just like your mom?
God bless!

My questions for you:

Do you have any tips for those out there (such as myself) starting a YouTube channel based on toy collecting?

How long have you been collecting?

Will you be getting ever after high's spring unsprung collection?

BTW-I bought a doll and she is not here yet but I might name her Hannah :) <3

Hi Hannah! My question is about your books. You mentioned that your books would be like a continuation of the stories we know. So will they be mainly about princesses getting married and starting families? I'd love to see more of your illustrations. Also would you say American Girls are your favorite dolls? I'd love to set up some rooms for my own dolls.

Well, here's a question (though I'm not sure it's vlog worthy) for you: in your pictures, I couldn't find the Belle's Bulletins gang! Have they moved to new homes? Just curious!

As for a vlog question: When did you get your first doll and what/who was he/she?

Thanks, Beast'sbelle!

I have a question, how often do you clean those shelves, how do you clean them? Since that's a lot of dolls & toys sitting on open shelves.

Great video! I love seeing your room tours and you've done such a fantastic job on your displays and organization. Really, really well done :). I am sure the girls love coming in and just looking at everything. And yes, hubby is very cute! ;)

My questions are as follows:
What is your educational background? Did you go to school for writing or art? I thought you had mentioned that you were teaching art part time at one point in this blog...
Would you ever consider adding book reviews or an ever so often "book club" read along? (With little kids and blogging, who has time to read, though, lol!).
Do you still have the original EAH gang? I didn't notice them in your tour :)
If you could only collect one line of dolls, which would you choose? (All 18inch would be considered one line ). :)

My question is:
If you could only choose one doll or pony to keep, who/ which one would it be?
Thanks!!

I hope it's not too late to submit questions! In case you're still taking them, I have a few. :)

For beast'sbelle (sorry, but after five years of referring to you by this it's going to take awhile to get used to calling you Hannah! ;)):

-What did you think of Into the Woods?
-Is there any particular reason why your Jess doll wasn't introduced into Jane Austen & Unicorns universe/story? I know you've kept a few out, like Pita and Felicity.
-What are your favorite things from your Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled collections? And, do you have any random paraphernalia for other Disney movies?
-Do you have any thoughts on Frozen potentially being brought to Broadway? As both a Frozen fan and a theatre nerd I've found that the opinions are pretty divided.
-What do you think about Disney producing a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, featuring the music from the 1991 movie and starring Emma Watson? (I'm pretty excited...understatement of the year.)
-What do you think of Disney's newer trend of 'retelling' their fairytales, like Maleficent, Cinderella, and the aforementioned B&tB?

And, for all the Gals :) :
-Do you all have a certain Disney movie you like to collect paraphernalia for, the way your mom does for Tangled, B&tB, and Frozen?
-And, not a question, but happy early birthday to all of you! I don't know if y'all are going on a birthday trip like you did in previous years, but have fun if you do!!

Eek, I've just realized I've left a LOT of questions. :} Thank you so much for doing another one of these vlogs!

Hi Claire! It's definitely not too late for questions. I'll be taking them for at least another week. And asking so many is not a problem! :) I look forward to answering them for you. :D

Hmm, I've been thinking a lot about what I should ask you. The result is here:

Would you like to see your own characters in doll form? (OOAK) What would be like to see them as dolls?

The next one is about articulation of dolls. What dou you consider really important in a fully articulated doll? Which ones do you like most and why? (maybe advances, drawback of one or two bodytypes of your choice?) I'm mosly referring to fashion dolls (around 11 inch) but I would be interested in your experiences considering other dollsizes, too. I'm generally interested in everything considering articulation. Hmm, mayba these questions are answered in your articulation reviews, and I wasn't reading carefully enough? (I picked up the fact that LIV bodies are quite nice considering articulation)

And for your daughters:
What is more important in a doll for you? if you would be asked to design a doll, what would be most important?(Both kids and adult collestors. As a kid, I wanted to become a toy designer) Do you prefer dolls of babies, small kids (like toddler), a child around 7-12, a teenager or an adult? Have you preferences at all?

a)Nice hair: soft and shiny, easy to take care of, and it can be easily styled in lots of ways

b)Clothes: lots of durable clothes and accessories, that can be mixed and matched!

c) The dolls body, it should be super posable

d)something else, and that is...

I know a good balance is the best but I'm really curious what kids prefer. Let's say that everything is nice about the doll and one thing can be chosen that would be super awesome about the doll.

Huh that seems a lot and not really interesting, either... but I couldn't think of anything better so I thought I'll focus on my main interests.

Oh and a bonus, but I don't think that's something for your vlog. You decide. :)
What would you think about a story inspired by Belles bulletins? (Yes, it would be about my minis and lots of stuff that doesn't actually exist) Do you have some advice for a newbie in writing and about stories?

Hello Hannah,
I thoroughly enjoy reading about your life, your faith, your love for your family, and your enjoyment of dolls.
I think you have a fantastic husband and mother too!

If you have the chance I would like to know the answers to the following questions:
Who started doll collecting first-you or your mom?
How do you decide which dolls to buy?
Do you ever regret any of your purchases and what do you do then?
What criteria do you use for deciding whether to keep a doll in the box unopened?
And the burning question--is your doll room also your master bedroom?

I hope you have a fantastic productive time at the conference.
