The blossoms have been in full bloom around here, and have provided all sorts of lovely photo shoot opportunities. :) I thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you today.
I thought these were almond blossoms, but they don't quite look like other almond blossom pictures online. These trees are all over our area, and have a strong, almost unpleasant fragrance. (The girls think they smell like fish.) They are beautiful to look at, though. ;)
Beautiful purple Hardenbergia from our old house (which is right next to the school).
And, of course, no photo shoot for this blog would be complete without some doll pictures. ;)
Made to Move Lea
Tall "Terrific Teal" Barbie (review in the works) ;)
Hayden and her new Kirsten doll :)
Zelfs :)
Barbie Style Glam Lea doll
And here are a few I fiddled with on Ribbet.com:
The girls decided to take some photos of their own.
Little Gal, about to take a photo.
Middle Gal setting hers up.
Oldest Gal didn't start taking pics until I'd gone back inside, so I don't have a picture of her. However, all three of them got some great shots. Here are some of my favorites.
Oldest Gal:
Her subjects were Wedding Day Alan and Midge from the 90s.
Middle Gal:
Middle Gal's subjects were from her Barbie family. Disney Store Prince Eric, Made to Move Bambi, one Kelly and one Chelsea. I don't remember all of their names, but if I get a chance I'll come back and add the names she gave them later. ;)
And here's one she took of her little sister, brave knight Little Gal. ;)
Little Gal:
Little Gal's subjects were also from her Barbie family. Made to Move Barbie, Mattel Flynn Rider, a Kelly and a Chelsea.
I love watching the girls create their own photos. It's so fascinating seeing what they come up with. They're much better at taking pictures than I was at their age. I suppose that's one of the great things about digital cameras. You can see what you've taken a picture of and learn from your mistakes and successes as you're taking the shots. Having a mom into doll photo shoots probably helps, too. ;)
How about you? Feeling inspired to snap a few photos? I'd love to hear about your own photography adventures. :)
I have a few posts in the works, and will be responding to blog comments later today, so stay tuned! :)

Love the blossoms!
I like all photos I like how they all tell a little story :)
Like my two girls opening the Beast.
Your daughters are good photographers, just like their mama! It's so nice that you have flowers out! It hasn't been warm enough here in Missouri yet.
Wait- the new Barbies are in your stores? LUCKY!
Also, what do you think of Melody? I'm personally really excited for her- I read her first book and it was great, I definitely recommend it.
Thanks, Meritre! The girls have watched me do a lot of photo story pics in the past, especially when I was still doing "Belle's Bulletins," so I think they picked up on a lot of the things I did then. ;)
Thanks, RagingMoon1987! :) I think they're pretty great, too. I'll be sure to pass your message along.
Our blossoms have just started coming out in the past few weeks. Before that, it was still cold and rainy. But that's pretty typical for our area. I'm actually hoping we get a bit more rain so we don't have such a dry summer this year. Still, it's been wonderful to enjoy the flowers and blossoms together. :D
Beautiful pictures! And I know what those white blossoms are. They're pear blossoms--pretty but stinky. I have a ton near my house and when they bloom the stentch is unbearable!! ;)
Love the doll family pictures, so creative! Are you planning on getting any of the new curvy Barbies? I got the blue hair one and I love her.
Thanks for the info, Anonymous. :) Yes, they are lovely but smelly!!
Thanks, Aileen. I thought the girls did a great job, too. :) I was able to find one of the curvy Barbies at Walmart earlier this week, "Dolled Up Denim." I'm in the process of a review on all three of the new body types. :) I really love my curvy girl, too. I'm hoping to snag another one at some point. Finally, a Barbie doll with my body type! ;)
Everyone did a beautiful job. Can't wait for our spring blossoms
I love these photos! Everyone did a great job!:) I especially love the fifteenth and second to last!:)

I agree on the pear blossoms. We have a pear tree in our yard. Beautiful, but stinky.
Your girls are such good photographers! I really like all the pictures. :)
How cool that you share this hobby with the daughters! I really like Middle Gal's photo of the kid dolls exploring under a big rock.
