Christmas Cookies for your 18" Doll

Before I get to the topic at hand, I'm sure most of you noticed that I've changed my header.  I like having copies of my old headers in my posts whenever I change them, just for my own enjoyment.  So here is the "Welcome Hayden" header I had before:

And now that I've finished that bit of randomness, on to the reason for this post! ;)

My mom was in JoAnn Fabrics the other day and found a mini Christmas garland with little plastic Christmas cookies attached to it.  She thought the cookies looked like they were just about the right size for the dolls, so she bought the garland.

When she got home, she cut the cookies off of the garland and put them on one of her little doll-sized plates.  This is what they looked like when she was done:

Aren't they cute?  I love how they look like they're covered with sugar sprinkles. :)

Here's how they look in a doll's hand:
Jane is excited to try her Christmas cookie! :)

JoAnn's frequently has sales on their holiday items.  One of the reasons my mom decided to go for these was because all of the Christmas items were 40% off.  She said there were lots of ornaments that were good for 18" dolls as well, such as a baking sheet with cookies on it, little wreaths, and more.

Have any of you found some good doll-sized goodies lately?  I'd love to hear about it. :)

Toy Story Tuesday and Walmart Christmas Haul

Hi guys!  For those of you who don't know, this is not only voting day, but it is also Toy Story Tuesday.  Why?  Because Toy Story 3 was released on DVD and Blu-ray today! :)  I'm so excited!  I just got home with my copy and can't WAIT to watch it.  Of course, once again, I bought the DVD Blu-ray combo, so I won't be able to watch all the special features yet!  (I STILL haven't watched my Beauty and the Beast special features!) :{  But it was worth it.

One of the reasons I wanted to do this post is to share the news about the great coupon I got.  For those of you who are members of Disneymovierewards.com, they are doing a special promotion.  From now until November 8th, you can print out a coupon for $8 off the Blu-ray DVD combo pack!  I got mine at Walmart, where they were only charging $24.95.  So I got a 4 disc Toy Story 3 (2 Blu-ray discs, 1 DVD disc, and 1 Disney Digital copy) for a little under $20.  If you have a Disney Movie Rewards account, I'd highly recommend using the coupon.  And if you don't, you can sign up and still get the coupon.  My mom didn't have an account, but when she found out about the coupon, she signed up and was able to print one for herself.  If you're a person who already buys Disney movies, it's a good deal.  It's free to sign up and you get points for every Disney movie you purchase.  It takes a while to accumulate enough points to get any rewards, but if you are already buying movies anyway, it doesn't hurt, and in the long run you can get something nice.

Okay, moving on!  :)  If you happen to go to Walmart to purchase your Toy Story 3 Blu-ray (like I did), be sure to stop by their Christmas section.  I found a bunch of great Christmas stuff for dolls.  They have some great low prices, so most of the items are under $5 a piece! :)

My goodies :)

I love this pretty Christmas wreath, and so does Tess.  She can't wait to find a place to hang it when it gets closer to Christmas.  This was just $2, and looks really nice.  As you can see, it's the perfect size for an 18" doll.

Tess with her wreath and 4 stockings.

I really wanted to do stockings for my dolls this year, but I didn't want to spend a bunch on them.  These packs of 4 stockings were only $1 each!  Sure, they're not the best quality, but since they're just going to be on display, theyshould look okay.  You can choose either red (pictured above with Tess) or green (below).

If you want to personalize your stockings, Walmart also sells these fun glitter pens in sets of 3 for $1.  They are specifically for stockings.  I'm planning on putting each doll's name on her stocking.

Btw, the red is a truer red then in this pic..my lighting wasn't very good this morning.

To fill the stockings, they have a ton of cute mini toys for stocking stuffers.  I thought these little koosh balls and yo yos would be just perfect.  Walmart also has mini card games, mini puzzles, and much much more.

IThere were plenty of other things to choose from that I didn't purchase, like ornament and accessory sets for 18" tall Christmas trees.  They even sell the trees themselves-you can choose natural green, purple, red, gold, silver and several other colors for your tree.  Then they have sets that coordinate with the colors you chose...there are even pretty tree skirts!

There were other nicer mini stockings, more ornaments, and other Christmas accessories that would fit your doll perfectly.  If you get a chance check this stuff out and choose some things for yourself, I'd love to see what you get. :)  I'm hoping to go back for more after I make some more Craigslist sales! :)
