I read the Plugged In review (click "Plugged In" to read it for yourself, but be warned...there are some spoilers in the review), and it sounds like the message of the film is the typical great family message that the Pixar films are known for. Unfortunately, it sounds like they've also added more crude humor than they normally do, which is so disappointing to me. It also sounds like there will definitely be some very heated words exchanged between Merida and her mother, which may be disagreeable to some of my readers. I should also mention that it's going to be pretty scary...not one for little ones. I'll let you know more about it after I see it. (Okay, I used way too many "alsos" in that paragraph!!) ;)
I also wanted to let you know that your entire Disneystore.com order ships free with the purchase of any Brave items from now through Sunday! You need to apply the code "BRAVESHIP" at checkout. Hmm, maybe this is the weekend to get my classic Merida doll!! :D Click HERE to see Disney Store's Brave items.
Are any of you planning on seeing Brave this weekend? :)

You could also check the kids-in-mind rating. They list all the violence, language, etc. :)
I really want to watch this one!
Thanks for the info, Spicemuffin! :)
I saw it this morning. LOVED it!! And I looked at Plugged in last night, and I was a little worried that it was going to have some "moments" in it, but I was actually surprised that it wasn't as bad as I thought. There were a few moments that they could have taken out to make it more family friendly, but I really enjoyed it. :) I loved the triplets!
Thanks for the info, Sammy! Nice to know that it was good overall. It looks like I'll probably have to wait to see it until this weekend...Hubby has a long day at work...so I'll just have to be patient a bit longer. Sigh! ;)
I saw it today!:) It was not as good as I was expecting it to be. The crude humor was a little overdone, and I found Merida to be a somewhat dislikable main character. But I did love all the clothing and Scotish music!

Thanks for your input, Liddy. I'm sorry to hear about the humor. :(
It sounds like what I was worried about...I guess I'll just have to wait and see what I think when I get a chance to see it for myself. :{
