Just a quick post to let all of you know that the Disney Store "Twice Upon a Year Sale" has begun online. The 12" classic Prince and Princess dolls are on sale, some for $7.99 and some for $8.00 (Why the one cent difference? I have no idea!). ;) I recently got a comment from one of my readers with news that the 12" Princess dolls will soon be replaced with different face molds and fully articulated bodies (you can view pics in this Flickr album HERE...scroll through the pics to see all of the new dolls), so if you like the current versions, now is the time to get them.
The "Twice Upon a Year Sale" stuff normally sells pretty quickly, so if you are interested in anything, you'll want to place an order fairly soon. Aside from the 12" dolls, there are also Funko Pop figures, Vinylmation, kids clothes, and much more on sale. You can view all of the items HERE.
Happy shopping! ;)

Some look better, like Pocahontas, but other look just plain silly!
Oh, Disney. Ohhh, Disney. Prepare to receive all my money. That new Rapunzel is adorable (no more purple lips! Long sleeves!) and I actually like Belle's new face mold more than the 2011 version. Yay!
Thankfully, the knowledge that new dolls are coming is helping me resist the lure of sale-priced Funko Pop figures. :D
Lol...sorry to make you part with all your hard-earned cash. ;)
By the way, I suppose I should clarify: the 2011 Belle version is okay, but not my favorite either. I think that the 2010 Belle has been the best one so far. I'm also hoping those severe 2012 Belle eyebrows are better in person than in the stock photos. Here's hoping! :)
I agree with you that 2010 Belle has the best expression (and I'm sad that Belle's eyes get greener with every generation - I was so happy to see a brown-eyed princess as a kid!) but I just can't stop looking at 2012 Belle's hair and dress.
Though the 2012 line isn't a complete hit with me - I'm baffled at Aurora's oddly skinny head, and wish Disney would stop trying to pretend that Mulan's outfit has a Western-style skirt - Rapunzel, Belle, and Tiana will probably find their way to the Dollcave at some point!
Oh, yes! The green eyes on Belle have always bothered me, too. Okay, sort of. I have green eyes and brown hair, so she looks a little more like me when they make her with green eyes. :} But that aside, movie accuracy is vital to me in any doll! And yes, I agree that 2012 Belle's hair and dress are perfect, not to mention the full articulation. I have a feeling she may end up at my house, too. ;)
Oh, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who is annoyed by Aurora's overly skinny head! :)
