Let the Vlogging Begin! :)

Okay guys, the first vlog is up on YouTube!  The add video feature isn't working for me, so I'll just do my normal thing and link you HERE.  I'd like to apologize in advance for how incredibly long it is (around 20 minutes).  I never was good at keeping things short and sweet. :}

I've got the other vlogs up as well, and have linked them below. There are a total of five, but don't worry...not all of them are as long as the first one! ;)

Vlog #2

Vlog #3

Vlog #4

Vlog #5

Hope you enjoy them!  I had a lot of fun answering your questions. :)

P.S.  I thought I'd show you the tripod scenario I was working with during these videos:

Yep, we're all classy and high-tech over here at Never Grow Up. ;)

D'awww... did you erase it? I wanted to see it... and YouTube told me it wasn't available.

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Nope, it's not erased. Sorry about that...I'll check the links and make sure they're working properly. :}

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Okay, sorry...somehow it got listed as "private" instead of public. I think it should work now. :)

Hi, I know it must be random for me to say it all of a sudden, but I just wanted to say, I really really love your blog! :) I really love reading your blog posts. Thank you for having such a cool blog! By the way, what is your favorite mlp episode? :3

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Hey, randomness is completely welcome here! Especially random compliments. ;)

In all seriousness, I'm glad you're enjoying the blog. :) That's my goal, to have a place for doll lovers of all ages to come hang out and have fun discussing dolls. ;)

I have sooo many favorite MLP episodes, it's tough to choose just one...but I think I'd have to say "A Canterlot Wedding". It was so fun and epic and brought back all of the Disney movies I grew up with. :) I really love Cadance (the REAL Cadance, that is) and Shining Armor. :)

Ok, so I want to get into Doctor Who.. Is it any good? (I read your review) :3 I kind of get scared reasonably easy. Are some parts going to be extremely friengtening? I've heard about Weeping Angels and Empty Children and stuff... Honestly, I want to watch it (and become a Whovian) ;) even if I'm completly sure I'd find it good. Should I judge it by the first couple of episodes, or does it get better/worse?

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Hmm, tough call, Anonymous. First, I'd say a lot would depend on your age. If you're under 18, I wouldn't personally feel comfortable recommending it unless you talked it over with your parents first.

If you get scared pretty easily, I would have a hard time recommending it to you. There are some pretty scary parts on the show, and then there are other parts that are more yucky or gross than scary.

I found the first season (with the 9th Doctor) to be a lot more scary and intense than the second season (with the 10th Doctor), but there were freaky episodes in every season.

There are some great characters and some memorable moments, but if you're not into scary stuff, I'd personally recommend that you pass it up or at least wait for a few years.

Hope this helps!

What is the yellow fairy doll in the back? I don't think I've ever seen her before.

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

That's actually an Equestria Girls Fluttershy doll. Blog review to come. :)

Have you heard about Teen Beach Movie on Disney Channel? It's actually very enjoyable and has a good plot. I think the songs are the best part! Just wondering if you knew.

Hold on... back up... Raven?!? What are you doing over there? You're sitting in your dorm, I thought! And what is an Equestria Girls? Peas and crackers!! The Internet is so confusing.
(We just got Internet over here at EAH.)
Bye!

(LOL, Maddie did get Internet. Sorry.-misspiggy=awesome)

Hi Anonymous. I've heard about Teen Beach Movie but haven't watched it. :)

Welcome, Madeline! Sorry to confuse you...you must be thinking of a different Raven. ;) I see you've taken over for misspiggy=awesome. Hope you're having fun with her. ;)

Great to hear your voice again after all these years! I hadn't considered how nerve-wracking it would be to work on others' dolls, but it made perfect sense the moment you said it. I suppose this means I had better look through your posts and learn to fix up my Barbies on my own ;)

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Aww, thanks Casey. I've enjoyed watching the videos you've put on your blog, too. There's something so special about hearing a familiar voice as opposed to just reading typed words all the time. ;)

Sorry to disappoint on the Barbies. What kind of issues do they have? If you have any questions or want to email me some pics, I'd be happy to give my 2 cents...for what it's worth. ;)

Hey!!! So once again, LOVED the videos and it was lovely to hear your voice!

So I mentioned in my loooooooong YouTube comment that I had this article...a friend of mine who was also into AG as a child (we used to pour over the catalog together :)) sent me this article. While I don't agree with the political leaning of the author of the article, the idea that they're "dumbing down" the company was certainly interesting...

Thanks, Alexandra. :)

I LOVED your long comment. Isn't it annoying that YouTube puts restrictions on their comment lengths? ;) What are long-winded people like you and I supposed to do? ;)

I'll be sure to check out the article. Thanks for the link. :)

It took sooo long, but I finished watching everything (watching? more like listening)! I actually thought you would simply record the audio and combine it with static pictures of things you were talking about, but your method made it easier to listen while doing the dishes :)

I enjoyed listening to all the questions and answers, there's no doubt about that. What I came to say is a message for the last Anonymous, I hope she reads this! It's for the question about finding guys who accept dolls. My husband BOUGHT most of my dolls. When we met less than 4 years ago, I had 2 Barbies, of which only one was bought new in box specially for me. Now I have 2 shelves of dolls, some quite expensive (for example a Deluxe Monster high travel doll which hubby picked himself). He's pretty much clueless about dolls, aside from a few things he learnt from me, but he's very supportive of whatever I do. When I asked him why he continues buying expensive dolls even though I have enough to keep myself busy (I want to turn them into customs), he said "I like to watch how your eyes sparkle as you open a new doll" (^^)~. So there you have it - a loving partner is the one who supports you even when you have hairy legs or unusual hobbies. Also the things you said on the video. You have to be confident that you are a complete person, and not look for someone out of desperation. You get to meet a lot of amazing people when you're just being yourself and not thinking how to make an impression and who seems like a suitable match.

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Thanks so much for sharing this, BlackKitty. :) There are definitely some great guys out there!

I had to laugh about your "hairy legs" comment. :) I remember when I was in college, there was a married gal in our singing group who talked about how she didn't always shave her legs and her husband didn't mind. I remember being absolutely horrified by the thought of not shaving every day and determined I would NEVER be that way! Heh heh...well, years later, guess what? I don't shave every day...and my husband still loves me. ;)

As far as the video, I wish I could have done a more elegant video with pictures of what I was talking about, but I just don't have the "know-how" yet. I would have had to wait for my brother to help me edit the video, and he's extremely busy. I hope most of my readers did what you did and did other things while they listened, because that would have been a REALLY long time to sit! :}

Your voice is so nice! I can definitely see ("hear") why you're a Singer. You should upload a singing video!

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Thanks, honeysucklejasmine. :) I've actually considered uploading a singing video. It would be just me with no bells and whistles. I'll have to decide if I'm brave enough first. ;)

honeysucklejasmine said...

It would be too cool! Would you sing some Beauty and The Beast or Tangled songs?

Hannah Prewett (beastsbelle) said...

Possibly. ;)
